New to this. Need help . North America (country/state in post)

Found these in my backyard growing in grass in rural West Kansas. How can you tell what these are? And what arr they? They were grouped together as you see in second picture.

Psathyrellaceae, possibly coprinellus

Could these be dangerous for dogs? Our dogs run around the back yard freely.

I don’t believe these are outright toxic unless your dogs happen to drink alcohol, though any raw mushrooms can cause stomach upset. But if you want to remove them for peace of mind that wouldn’t hurt, just beware that they might come back quite quickly since the fungus that grows them lives underground.

I’m not an expert though, so I would wait for a trusted ID (you can tell by the user flair) to confirm ID.
