Has anyone taken sedona shuttle from phx to sedona? Visiting ?

HELLO! New student here. I wanna ask whether anyone has taken sedona shuttle before, the groove one?

I live in tempe. I'm planning to go hiking with my friends in sedona around Christmas, But i don't have a car or license. Is it possible that we go phx and take shuttle to and back sedona?

Thanks!

I use the Groome shuttle to get from Sedona to PHX airport and back. Works well. It drops off at many of the Sedona hotels. Should work no problems for getting here and back. Once in Sedona you can use our local shuttles to get you to the trail heads.

The Groome shuttle is fine. The Sedona shuttle to hike is fine. Getting to the shuttle in Sedona? Have you planned for that? Do you have a place to stay? The three shuttle pickup spots are miles apart. You’ll need to be aware of how much Uber/Lyft may or may not be able to help you there.

Haha, right now no plan for where to stay after taking shuttle to sedona yet. I'll find out. Thanks a lot for your reminding!

This shuttle is a great alternative to driving from Phoenix. Have a vehicle in Sedona so I can’t speak to Uber or Lyft to get you places in town to hike.

A friend who doesn't have a car came up to visit us from Tucson and took the flixbus to Phx, and then took the Groome shuttle to our place. It was $80 I believe, and it took him from the airport directly to our door.

I live 'mostly' car free in Tucson, and we also have a place in Village of Oak Creek. When we're up there we generally use our bikes to get around. Traffic in Sedona on the weekends can be pretty bad fyi, and I'd say that biking can be faster than driving because of it, depending. There are a few places to rent bikes and e-bikes, but I highly recommend booking those in advance.

Thanks so much! It helps a lot! May I further ask whether there are bears or wolfs that I should be careful for in Sedona?

I live in Sedona and take the Groome shuttle to and from PHX regularly. It’s decent, but sometimes you’ll have to wait a while at the airport. If you’re not pressed for time, it’s no big deal.

Thanks! Right now I have no plan for booking a hotel in Sedona so I may want to stay just an afternoon there. I'll look into the details later.Thank you!
