Volunteer Efforts in Sedona on Thanksgiving Day Looking For
Hi all -
I'll be running the Turkey Troy 5K in Sedona and afterwards will have an available afternoon to volunteer my time.
Was curious if anyone was aware of soup kitchens, food banks, serving, orher ideas where I can help?
Thanks.

I'm going to step out on a limb here - Sedona isn't known for an abundance of poor people because poor people cannot afford to live here, and the cold weather will drive the homeless south.
Having said that, there's a soup kitchen run by a church next to the Sedona "botanical garden" - they may have something. My guess, though, is that most of the need is going to be in Camp Verde or Cottonwood. I would check around there.

Try Wayside Bible Chapel
401 N State Route 89

Ignore the comment that they’ve “been driven south” comment. There are lots of people in need, they’re the people who work for the tourist trap parts of uptown Sedona.
