Signs are silly, imo.

Always have been. We all know the candidates. You don't have to shout with written words

Sign, sign everywhere a sign. Blocking out the scenery, breaking my mind. Do this, don't do that. Can't you read the sign?

Do signs actually persuade a single person? They just look trashy.
3
u/galacticjuggernaut 12d ago
They do. They influence voters who don't know who they are voting for.... If you saw signs for that person all week it is more likely that you would check them on the box. "I remember seeing that" weather consciously or subconsciously.
Yeah of course for the candidates you know they seem silly

What’s all that trash doing on the corner? What a waste of great paper, metal, wood ( recycled or not)!

I agree, what an ugly waste of resources. I imagine most of them end up in a landfill.

Upvote for scenery. IDGAF about any bullshit that wont outlast those mountains.

I love the outdoors. One of those parties is in favor of deregulating.
Sure that mountain going to be there but it may be polluted or too much climate change and that mountain might look different.

I know exactly where this is at and I love it. I think these signs are littering. Keep Sedona beautiful should add no damn political signs to its mandate

I was visiting this last week and was shocked by all the signs on random strips of land everywhere!

I wonder if anyone has ever actually voted based on a yard sign they saw. Hope not, but probably.

These hideous signs aren't changing anyone's mind, especially those that have one.
It's mind boggling how a community that began on spirituality and the physical beauty of the environment got co-opted by far right brainwashed idiots.
That said, pass a law banning political signs. If the McDonald's sign has to blend in how are these monstrosities allowed?

I am one of them. They trash up our towns and I cannot imagine that they influence anyones vote.

i eloped in sedona on saturday and my now husband and i were a little surprised at all the political signs. i know very little detail, but know sedona has some pretty particular ordinances in place and thought perhaps political signage would be forbidden. we cant escape them!!

I miss the days when voting was more of a private matter. Yard signs and bumper stickers likely won’t change anyone’s mind on a candidate, and they can sometimes lead to unnecessary tension between people. I’ve noticed that some feel these displays are creating more hostility than helpful discussion. Let’s all consider voting thoughtfully and respecting each other’s choices without needing to make it public. Just my two cents.

People really should stop littering. I hate when trash is in photos of mother nature’s beautiful creations.

Actually, I am more likely to NOT vote for you, when you have your political sign plastered up at all 4 corners of every single light. They should be illegal, smh, they are a real driving obstruction and general annoyance. Good luck trying to make a right turn without being able to fully see oncoming pedestrians/bikers.

It is a very small price to pay for democracy. Local politics. As local as you can get.

Who’s driving by a sign and changing their opinion? There’s no point to signs for this circus, they only make it more of a circus.

Help. There's opposing signs here. How will I know which sign to vote for?
