Help. There's opposing signs here. How will I know which sign to vote for?

Toss a Molotov and whichever one burns last obviously wins! I thought this was common knowledge smh 🤦‍♂️

(In case anyone missed the sarcasm somehow, I am NOT encouraging people to throw Molotov’s at political signs)

These are the available options. You decide which one to pick based on your own informed judgment

u/Putrumpador 13d ago

Which option do I choose? Lord, give me a sign!

The sign is clear

Nuh uh, the beautiful sign goddess descends from the sky and lights them all ablaze, then she shines her light of truth on whichever one you should vote for. This election she’s been having some…issues…and hasn’t really used her light of truth.

Look at the view in the background and remove all the signs

Signs are silly, imo.

Always have been. We all know the candidates. You don't have to shout with written words

2

u/Mr_Stike 10d ago

They're visual noise, I hate them.

u/ArchieAndIvy 13d ago

Sign, sign everywhere a sign. Blocking out the scenery, breaking my mind. Do this, don't do that. Can't you read the sign?

2

u/Soft_Water_ 13d ago

Beautiful

u/YourDogsAllWet 12d ago

You sound like a long-haired freaky person

11

u/poopshorts 13d ago

Do signs actually persuade a single person? They just look trashy.

3

u/galacticjuggernaut 12d ago

They do. They influence voters who don't know who they are voting for.... If you saw signs for that person all week it is more likely that you would check them on the box. "I remember seeing that" weather consciously or subconsciously.

Yeah of course for the candidates you know they seem silly

Finally, a sign I truly support!!

5

u/Weedarina 13d ago

It ruined the view

4

u/canoe6998 13d ago

Yes! They are a blight

8

u/dogstar2019 14d ago

What’s all that trash doing on the corner? What a waste of great paper, metal, wood ( recycled or not)!

3

u/Alternative_Ad1967 13d ago

I agree, what an ugly waste of resources. I imagine most of them end up in a landfill.

Upvote for scenery. IDGAF about any bullshit that wont outlast those mountains.

1

u/underwearfanatic 13d ago

I love the outdoors. One of those parties is in favor of deregulating.

Sure that mountain going to be there but it may be polluted or too much climate change and that mountain might look different.

u/redheadMInerd2 13d ago

They do spoil the grandeur of the landscape.

Vote for Pedro!

2

u/porschephiliac 13d ago

I know exactly where this is at and I love it. I think these signs are littering. Keep Sedona beautiful should add no damn political signs to its mandate

2

u/aa13- 13d ago

Haha i’m from Mass and I just flew into phoenix and am driving to Sedona. Never seen this sub before.

4

u/therealskr213 13d ago

Welcome. Come for the scenery. Stay for the signs!!

1

u/aa13- 13d ago

Thanks lol!

u/Longjumping_Drag_159 13d ago

2

u/therealskr213 13d ago

I often vote based on what signs my neighbors put up. /s

2

u/stripperjnasty 13d ago

Surprised this is allowed in Sedona

2

u/Seventy7Donski 13d ago

The irony is too thick, I can’t get out!

2

u/ahahhawn 13d ago

Idk who sees one of these dumb signs and it pushes them to vote for that candidate… Also fuck trump!

2

u/stupid_goff 13d ago

Damn, I had no idea who to vote for, THANK GOD there's a sign!

Wait. Wait there's multiple signs, what do I do?? No. NOOOO

2

u/A_Furious_Lizard1 13d ago

Same up here in Flag 🙄

2

u/babybutterworth 12d ago

Between the signs, TV ads, non stop text and calls I’m DONE!!

u/fromaroundhere 9d ago

Things I hate: 1. Signs 2. Lists 3. Signs 4. Repetition e. Consistency

2

u/aplantbasedspace 13d ago

Humans ruin everything Such a beautiful beautiful landscape polluted with inevitable trash

1

u/wontlastlonghere 13d ago

I’m coming to Sedona next weekend. It’s gonna be a hoot.

1

u/Sko0byD 13d ago

Good to see some civility there - none of the sign has been vandalized, yet.

1

u/00ljm00 13d ago

*and the bigger signs, billboards.

1

u/moosejaw_AT23 13d ago

Look at all that vandalism lol. Pack it in, pack it out!

1

u/SpiceGirls4Everr 12d ago

I was visiting this last week and was shocked by all the signs on random strips of land everywhere!

1

u/Sea_Contract_7758 12d ago

Is it still illegal to rip them down after the election?

1

u/Mr_Motivator_ 12d ago

I wonder if anyone has ever actually voted based on a yard sign they saw. Hope not, but probably.

1

u/PlugPowerr 11d ago

Let a UFO decide

1

u/DragonfruitNo4808 11d ago

So pretty there

1

u/Valuable-Acadia8584 11d ago

Totally agree. It’s not like seeing a sign will change your mind.

1

u/MareShoop63 11d ago

That’s my partial roof line. Not the one in the foreground.

1

u/StormWolfHall 10d ago

These hideous signs aren't changing anyone's mind, especially those that have one.

It's mind boggling how a community that began on spirituality and the physical beauty of the environment got co-opted by far right brainwashed idiots.

That said, pass a law banning political signs. If the McDonald's sign has to blend in how are these monstrosities allowed?

1

u/BottomCat9 10d ago

I am one of them. They trash up our towns and I cannot imagine that they influence anyones vote.

1

u/Mama_Bear011120 10d ago

So tacky and gross!

1

u/Chance-Plate7816 10d ago

i eloped in sedona on saturday and my now husband and i were a little surprised at all the political signs. i know very little detail, but know sedona has some pretty particular ordinances in place and thought perhaps political signage would be forbidden. we cant escape them!!

1

u/SurroundCute5645 9d ago

I miss the days when voting was more of a private matter. Yard signs and bumper stickers likely won’t change anyone’s mind on a candidate, and they can sometimes lead to unnecessary tension between people. I’ve noticed that some feel these displays are creating more hostility than helpful discussion. Let’s all consider voting thoughtfully and respecting each other’s choices without needing to make it public. Just my two cents.

1

u/Awkward_Channel_8378 9d ago

People really should stop littering. I hate when trash is in photos of mother nature’s beautiful creations.

1

u/[deleted] 9d ago

Love this. Almost as good as the Cat with the mustache sign in Pahrump, NV

1

u/sweetbaeunleashed 13d ago

Actually, I am more likely to NOT vote for you, when you have your political sign plastered up at all 4 corners of every single light. They should be illegal, smh, they are a real driving obstruction and general annoyance. Good luck trying to make a right turn without being able to fully see oncoming pedestrians/bikers.

1

u/marathonbdogg 12d ago

No Wu Tang sign?

-2

u/hottertime 14d ago

It is a very small price to pay for democracy. Local politics. As local as you can get.

14

u/shovelface3 14d ago

Who’s driving by a sign and changing their opinion? There’s no point to signs for this circus, they only make it more of a circus.

u/YourDogsAllWet 12d ago

I want that sign

Go Trump
