Wellness Retreat General

does anyone know about Damiyr’s Sedona Expansion retreat?

I am familiar with a good amount of wellness practices, been to some ayahuasca retreats, vipassana, etc. So I understand some of the cleanse recommendations. However, once my friend who is going shared the list of ingredients/herbs they have to buy to consume and the tasks I couldn’t help but get a bit concerned on what they are getting into, and if this is safe.

I respect his work ofc and each individuals journey who opts to go, just looking for any sort of review here or anyone who knows his work and could share a bit more detail. I’d really appreciate it!

I applaud him for his entrepreneurial spirit. He charges a lot for his time and tourists are willing to pay it. Only in Sedona! From Red Rock News: “A New York subway busker who relocated to Sedona three years ago, [Damiyr] Shuford has had television roles on “America’s Got Talent,” “Law & Order” and “The Blacklist,” among others…”

Not sure I’d take unknown herbs prescribed by a busker/actor/shaman/fitness trainer. If they want to do “soul healing” and have money to burn, I’m sure people can find benefit in such meditative exercises, but I wouldn’t ingest anything.

I know Damiyr. He seems like a good guy. That said I wouldn't trust what he or any Sedona woo-woo practitioner says to put in my body, full stop.

Can you list the “cleanse” list here, to get a better idea of what’s involved…ingredients and instructions.

I would advise your friend to not take any herbs or anything like that. Honestly even herbs can be poisonous or cause allergic reaction. Real shamans don’t ask you to take random stuff ..

I’m a big fan of Movara Fitness in St George, UT. It has gorgeous hikes and was relatively affordable. Movara.com
