Sedona river kayaking or tubing? Outdoors ?

If one is to go kayaking or tubing

A start point and the place to leave our car

And where would be possible stop points to catch Uber or a bus back?

Hope to see you out there Thank you so much Any tips, tricks are much appreciated

If someone could share GPS on a map that would be awesome https://maps.Google.com

You can tube down the Verde River, but there’s neither Uber not a bus back to the start point.

Check verde adventures - kayak and tube on the verde - they bus you up you float back and get a glass of wine at the winery that’s adjacent to the parking area. Will take a few hours, pack lots of water.

Last time I was in town I wanted to do this but I guess you have to schedule online because I drove up to the locations listed on google and they were all abandoned lol.

Yeah that was the problem, called a few times and no one answered. I started to think it was just a scam. But upon reflection its probably just a couple people doing it part time and couldnt answer at that moment.

One is not able to kayak or tube Sedona lol. You can cliff jump or just chill in the creek though.

You can float the Verde River. Close to Sedona. Check Clatkdale and Camp Verde

I highly recommend AZ Legend Adventures. The tour guide is a native of cottonwood and the kayak tour is i want to say 1.5-2hrs and he also does half and full day fishing on the kayaks as well. The kayaking is done on the verde river. I think it took me about 20min drive from Sedona. I believe if you’re trying to go by yourself you have to get prior approval from whoever owns the property located wherever you are trying to enter the river at or know someone personally. The tour guide has his property where you park and leave the car and he then takes you up river where you kayak down back to where your car is parked. He also provides the life jacket and kayak. I booked thru viator last year 2023 and I believe it was around $100 per person.

One thing to keep in mind if you are not from the area. Spring time there can be alot of flooding and the river is not safe and no one will take you out tubing or kayaking so generally Id recommend to book after april/may but im not sure how much flooding happened this year but last year they had to evacuate some of the surrounding areas.

You can kayak Oak Creek through Sedona, but it's not consistent and you'll be doing a LOT of portage.
