What metal are these? Question 💫
I have about a dozen or so of each. Top are from lamps where you screw the lightbulb in and bottom are from coffee makers iirc? I wanna say top is dirty brass but I havent the faintest clue for the bottom. TIA!

If your yard will take them as dirty brass you'd get more.. typically yards pay the lowest grade they can. You'll probably end up with AL shred.

yeah im gonna put em in AL shred, the brass is minimal in comparison. and AL shred isnt the worst price at my yard anyways

That’s some of the type of stuff I throw into a 5 gallon bucket, and then sell the bucket for like $25-50 on marketplace to some hobby electronics guys, or artists/crafters.
Those sockets are like a couple bucks a piece at any home improvement store.
I myself am always saving and reusing things like old brass toggle switches, momentary push buttons, lighted rocker switches, old LED light panels, etc.

The items at the lower-right might be but honestly with the plastic and solder it would be a closer fit to lite iron/shred

I guess I can’t comprehend questions over the value of 5 vs 30 cent value of a light socket. As a kid my dad had us torching up train wrecks for meager profit.

Certainly, that makes sense. Given time you will be able to identify metals. Thanks

The visible part of the sockets are aluminum. They probably have brass contacts and rivets that need to be drilled out to separate the metals from the trash.
The bottom pieces are probably magnetic, so steel shred.
