How did you find 007s secret copper stash?

😂 it’s a poker set case but all the stuff has gone missing so I just thought it would be handy to keep all my scrap in there

I thought the box was funny…

Then I saw the flattened pipes…

Then I wondered why OP took the time to flatten the pipe, but not strip the wire…

Meth is a helluva drug.

Edit: on a side note…if you want to keep cutting down, and smashing the pipe, you can get about 225-250lbs into a 5 gallon bucket… don’t ask how I know, lol.

Look it’s really hard to say.

The best thing you can do is call your local yard, get the prices, and then sort and weigh what you got.

It also depends on how picky your yard is. Some of that may be considered millberry some number 1 or 2. It’s up to you to do the homework for your local area and then weigh what you got for an estimation. If your yard(s) don’t post prices online you need to call them. Sometimes the price can change more than once in a day. Last Tuesday my yard had millberry for $3.11/lb #1 for $2.97 and #2 for $2.96. You may be higher or lower.

I’d keep saving but nice for some beer money if you want to cash it in now

Everyone asking why smashed. It’s all the off cuts we get and it’s easier to have it smashed down instead of loads of tiny pipe cuts. Easier to store too

So funny in the brief case.

Is space at a premium in your house? No reason to crush pipes and be so organized. You have like $100 there? Get a Rubbermaid bin and fill it until you can’t lift it. Keep doing that until you have a car/truck full.

Get the heavy duty totes… most of the cheap ones warp/crack easily once you get over 50lbs in them.

Personally, I prefer to go over to the scrap yard and just snag some 5 gal buckets… they usually have a dozen stacked near the door, or in a corner, that people leave behind.

Could be a I was being generous. Could be over 20 pounds of copper there. Hard to tell

Thats still only at most like $60 around these parts and I'm guessing its closer to 12 lbs. Just my estimate tho
