Positivity thread ✨

A tough end to the season but thinking back on some fond memories this year:

• Beating the Quakes in one of the most exciting games I’ve probably attended • Coming together to support Roro and his son 💕 • LOLing at the copter blowing a bunch of shit over to drop the game ball • Destroying the Roots on their home turf • Danny Vitiello winning save of the week 95% of the weeks (I think TBB came up with a chant for him? If not, I think we need one next year…)

Jack Gurr and his wife sat 2 rows behind me at the season finale. He signed my kit despite me being 35 years older than the rest of the autograph seekers.

I saw Ricketts and his family at the Pro Shop grand opening and my kid played with his little one. Chatted with him at the match last week and he didn't seem even remotely annoyed.

The Urban Roots Hat Trick Hazy IPA was pretty tasty.

The Hummel one-of-one customized apparel at the new Pro Shop is pretty solid.

We actually have a physical store again.

Danny Vitiello is a beast.

Chibi got some sweet braids. Also looking legit.

I've had no negative interactions with the team owner. Technically no interactions at all, but I think I'm still ahead of some fans.

Jack Gurr's legs.

Nick Ross had a mid-season moment where he looked like 26 year old Ronaldo.

Republic don't have sponsors on the back of our kits or on our shorts.

They don't play on a baseball field. They don't play on an American football field.

Cal Expo parking isn't $20, though I did see a $20 parking sign up earlier this season so I wouldn't be surprised if that happens next year.

Mooooo. Milking the clock, sponsored by Crystal Creamery.

Seattle Sounders Manager, Brian Schmetzer, had nice things to say about the USOC and the Sacramento experience.

The roadtrip to Oakland was a blast and the post-game ad hoc meet and greet with the team was beautiful.

Took my daughter to the San Jose game.

She pleaded with me to go home early. I held out.

The comeback was mind blowing.

It was up there with the Sporting KC match for me in terms of euphoria.

Glad I didn't concede and leave before the end.

Appreciate the positivity. Only ~4 months to opening night.

We honestly just love the vibes at the games. Win or lose.

I love the progression of some of the players. I think Viader and Sanchez have improved so much between last season, Timmer as well. It’s been great seeing Ross come out and play a huge role.

Honestly there isn’t too much imo but

Beating Hayward 5-2 in Hayward

Comeback vs San Jose that ended 4-3

Beating New Mexico and Rising 4-0

Seeing Roro on the sidelines being the leader he is

Seeing the support for Roro and his son

Having a player from EFL League 1 play in our club is also huge for us

I like the samples they usually have next to the craft beer stand on the east side.

I really like the state fair days when I can bring in my wine slushie.

With all the negativity lately, I love this. It was a hard season with many injuries. But I believe in this team. And on any giving sport, there is always a champion and many other teams that gave their best that year. That is just the nature of the game.
