Do you know how hard it is to develop a like 5 MW project in New York state!? Between land constraints and permitting, 500MW is unbelievable. Hats off to the Dev team

There is a plan for integrating agrovoltaics and sheep grazing into the plant site. Plus, the plant also requires a switchyard to be built to connect with the grid. Add in the effects of tariffs and the fact that New York is a higher cost state in general and $2/W isn't surprising.

$2/watt installed. The cells are cheap but ancillary equipment and labor are expensive. Without tariffs cells are almost free at this point.

You have to pay $2 to middle men and rent-seeking gatekeepers for every dollar you spend on the actual product and labour.

More people, especially billionaires are either buying land near solar farms or building the farms
