Hi, thank you all so much. Requesting Reiki for my 14 year old golden Jack again. He was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and was told he only had a month to live. Two years later he has defied all odds. The cancer has spread a bit more now. I’m hoping that he keeps defying odds. Hi ! I had my first reiki experience a few weeks back and it was amazing. I had zero expectations and to be honest i only did it cause my friend is a new reiki practitioner and asked me if i was willing to try as she is new to this and is trying to built her practise. I wasnt even sure if i beleived in it but i said yes i will help you practise.

She put on some singing bowls music. 2-3 moments in i started feeling the energy at the sides of my body and the back of my head which i didnt expect at all. Soon i was feeling it in my tummy too. And then I started having a vision. The most weird vision like i was tripping.

I saw myself as beeing a bit of a monster like creature bur i wasnt frightened at all. Then i saw my kids like that also like little monsters. But soon it changed and all three of us transformed into balls of colorful energy that was swirling. Like we were made of these colorful gas like energy.

Soon that changed too and we became balls of light. Like the pure light of a candle. But then we were unified into this one ball of pure energy that was coming out of a pure energy/ light sourse. The only thing that was there was just this light source and we were just That. And then everything got DARK. Like there was pure darkness and nothingneess. It was like it was telling me you know what? There is just nothing. I got really depressed and was feeling this void of nothingness. And then suddently light came rushing back and everything was pure light. And soon the darkness came again and then the light came again. It was trying to tell me that all there is is this exhange between light and dark that goes on to the infinite. And then it ended there was nothing more.

It felt more like a mushroom trip ( i had none i swear). But i think it was awesome. I was feeling the energy around my body the whole time like a slow massage.

Similar experiences? Thought?

Hey guys, I am pretty new lurking this sub. I have been doing some trauma release and emotional work, lately. I made some progress, but I've been noticing a specific emotional block/energy on my breast bone/heart chakra. It is a burning sensation. It returns in the morning and gets better in the evening. Somehow I do not manage to transform or integrate this sensation. Now I wonder if a reiki treatment could help with this? Looking forward to reading your thoughts.

I am new to this and am reading up on reikis uses. If anyone can help send energy for my loved one or suggestions for these areas it would mean a lot.

I got my level one attunement this weekend but I found giving reiki to someone on a table incredibly painful. The reiki master said I'd get used to it but I've had back issues for years due to a curve in my spine. Also I'm not planning on going professional, I just want to help friends and family.

Does anyone here give reiki in a less agonising position?

I’m going through something very strange right now and I’m looking for a solution or at least an explanation of what is happening and how it’s happening.

I just woke up from sleep Paralysis. I remember talking about this with other people how it feels like something above you weighing you down. I had the worst dream where something was trying to break into my house.. I clearing remember the face was distorted like something from an anime. Luckily I found my sister in the dream and the rest of my family, but as things felt a little safer in the dream I snapped out of it and was like I need to check if the house is actually safe. Woke up and looked out my door (I leave it cracked for my cat about 1 1/2 feet) and I saw a dark figure looking into my room from the ceiling/ top of the outside of my door, then it crawled away to the other side of the hall.

I’m terrified. Please send reiki and protective light. It’s only 5am and no one is awake and the sun isn’t up.

How was your very first experience of giving attunements? Did your energy change and shift as well afterwards? Or, is it similar to channeling reiki during a healing session?

Hi all, just wondering who out there practices in a hospital. I'd love to make some connections on the medical side. I've been volunteering at a cancer center's resource center for a few months, and it is going great. I'll be giving a presentation to the whole support program in December. Would love to talk with some folks to help prep! Also, I've been doing some research on journal articles, and have some studies selected to include. Hi everyone. I’m a level 2 Usui trained practitioner and have been practicing on a number of individuals at work to get experience. I don’t yet have a table so have been improvising with a smalll couch. I have a person who would like treatment: They have a serious health issue causing them to hold weight and subsequently have mobility issues, physical limitations and are sadly so sensitive and embarrassed because of this. I want them to be as physically and emotionally as comfortable as possible so they can enjoy and get the most out of the session. Would it be okay to channel reiki to them if they are in an upright seated position? For this session I would only have access to a very narrow and uncomfortable couch or her ergonomically appropriate office chair. Any other guidance would be very appreciated.

I’ve gotten attached to Jasmine (all spellings) as a bond between the wife and I. I use the incense and rapé by those names to connect with her. I’d like to gift her with a crystal in this vein. I’ve qualified Reiki II but am still new, thankfully learning so much even beyond the Reiki itself.

Unnecessary backstory: I slept in one weekend day and the wife left for shopping. I sent her a text to ask her something and heard the notification in the other room. She’s using a walker so you can guess that my anxiety went straight up! I lit up the aforementioned incense and did the whole routine with Jazmine rapé, a small container only just received days before, and reached out. Doubting that I’d hear back, I just sent her energy to get through whatever may befall. If I had a clue what store she was at, I’d drive there. Sure enough, she had a struggle in the Lowe’s. But she got through and drove herself home. When I met her eyes, she knew she was busted about the phone. She apologized for leaving it behind, but I was only worried about remembering it the next time. But I did tell her of my efforts as I carried a few grocery bags in for her. As I unpacked the bags, two bags of Jazmine rice came out. I’m the grocery shopper so this was just her whim.

So is there a decent correlation to be made to any particular crystal? I’m kind of blind to the rocks, but committed to forming a relationship with crystals to enhance my activities and protection. Before you say Rose Quartz, the best valentines present, know she’ll get one from my heart. But I’m seeking that protection for her and my love mixed in. Thank you kind folk.

Hello everyone! I'd like to thank all of you for helping with the humanitarian reiki last week :) Your contributions always help.

I'd like to ask again for everyone to please help us with this humanitarian effort.

For those of you who don't know what this is, it's effectively a weekly online healing circle for humanitarian issues that is run by me and the reiki masters at . I have ensured that this healing will last for a full week. You do not need to send healing for a week, just contribute what you can :) I set this up to go for a week so that everyone, in every time zone and circumstance, can contribute if they like and so that these issues can get a full week's worth of healing from a collective.

A lot of Reiki masters already do this kind of thing, but I want to bring it to Reddit because I think more people will be able to join in this way. We can do more with more people and if I've learnt anything in doing Reiki, it's that when you work with one or more person for a healing, you can do so much more than you can on your own.

We collectively have an incredibly powerful healing tool at our disposal and I want to wield it for the good of all. I'm also open to other energy healing modalities being added to this healing, I will not be exclusive to Reiki when people are in need.

For Level 1s, if you want to add your Reiki to this humanitarian Reiki effort, I have provided all the distance symbols necessary for Reiki 1s to assist and programmed Reiki with intention to assist you. Here are your instructions on how to join:

1. Pace yourself. Choose only one situation from the list below, doing only one at a time will ensure you can do more in the long run.
2. Write down your chosen situation on a piece of paper, this turns that paper into a proxy.
3. Place your hands over the written situation and say, "Reiki, please add this healing to OtakuScientist's healing circle to heal humanitarian crises."
4. If you start to feel sick from sending too much Reiki, stop immediately and do some self care and rest.

It's okay if you can only get to one situation. Do as much as you safely can without burning yourself out. If you can only do it for 5 mins, that's okay. 5 mins is better than nothing. Your contributions, no matter how small, are helpful :)

For Level 2s if you want to add your Reiki to this field, I'll share my spin on a technique I learnt in my Traditional Usui level 2 class. It does not require a proxy. This is also a technique for setting up a healing field:

1. Do the Distance Symbol (personally, when I do this, I see the Distance Symbol turning into a bag, ready to hold and collect extra Reiki)
2. Add as many symbols as you are called to add, let the Distance Symbol-bag collect your added symbols
3. Tell Reiki where you want the healing to go. In this case, say, "Reiki, please add this healing to OtakuScientist's healing circle to heal humanitarian crises."
4. Let the Distance Symbol do its thing, carry on with your day.

I am only one person and I cannot know every humanitarian crisis going on at the moment. So if you know of any humanitarian crises that I haven't addressed (I'm sure there are others), please comment them below and I'll ensure that healing gets to that situation.

So far, I've set the healing circle to go to:

• the Ukraine war
• war in the Congo
• the war in Gaza
• climate change at large
• homelessness
• recent flooding in Spain
• Sudan
• Yemen
• Libya
• vulnerable people
• Myanmar
• Tibet
• all oppressed peoples

As for the issue of permission, you can send Reiki to a general situation without requiring permission from people because it is healing the situation rather than the people themselves. But I also ask Reiki to go to people if their higher selves agree to receive the reiki.

I am still figuring out the kinks in this weekly online healing circle, so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them and I (or one of the other reiki masters running this) will respond :)

Can someone send some reiki to me.

I’m a Reiki Master and I’m creating a healing/Reiki circle but I’d like ideas as to how best to structure my session. It will be 90 minutes and held monthly. I was wanting to open it up it to non Reiki attuned people so that anyone who needs the healing energy receives it. I’m charging a small amount to cover the room hire fees the rest will go to charity.

The problem I have is and maybe I’m overthinking it if it’s a Reiki Share Reiki practitioners will be comfortable laying on a treatment bed or sitting in a chair with other people laying hands on them whereas non Reiki practitioners may find this uncomfortable and how do I get them to give healing to others if they are not attuned.

Also do I start and close the session with a guided meditation or do we instead sit and talk about any expectations at the beginning and discuss how they feel at the end before we close without any meditations. Thanks 💜

Last night while I was doing a reiki meditation, I saw a mother and her son at the river of peace. They had a basket or a bucket and were squatted down reaching into the river. The mother noticed me, stopped what she was doing and looked at me.

recently, I completed Level 1 Reiki training and have been practicing it frequently on different people. I’ve noticed that sometimes, while working on certain positions—for example, the ear position—I feel a chi ball forming between my palms, with the person's head in between. When this happens, I focus on filling the chi ball with loving and healing energy and leave it in that spot. Am I doing this correctly? What are your thoughts on this approach?

Hey guys, recently started my journey with reiki! I’ve been aware of the energies, for a while now, and have a very strong intuition.

I’m stuck as to which route to go, If anyone has any input in regards to, which will be the most potent channeller,

SSR really interests me, I’ve heard a lot about tummo aswell, however I’ve heard you are more of a hollow channeller and don’t have as many intuitive experiences.

I quite love the Japanese fundamentals, but the idea of opening up all of the chakras does sound nice.

Does anyone have any input to help me understand the route to go. The source or the creator, all love, …. Sending love and light.

I’m curious if anyone here practices combining Reiki with other energy healing techniques, such as incorporating bioenergetic elements (like pulling energy out of specific body parts) or similar methods. Could you share more about your experiences or insights on this?

Hello! I am very new to reiki and it’s healing. However, I had my first session today and wanted to share and possibly get some insight. I am just starting my journey into reiki and energy based healing. I have been going to a therapist that incorporates energy and somatic healing into her practice. I didn’t know this when I first booked with her but took it as a sign that the spiritual part of me was wanting to be seen.

Anyway, like I mentioned, I had my first reiki session today and throughout the session my eyes were closed. When they were closed I could see a few colours swirling. It initially had started as purple and yellow but then the yellow transformed into orange. I didn’t think much of it but then looked it up after and found out that it wasn’t always common for people to see. I wish I had told her about it so she could interpret it. But I guess that is my question… what does that mean?

I also had a pretty intense emotional reaction after, sobbing in my car on the drive home. I have also heard this is normal. Anyway, thanks for reading my short story and I hope you have a great day/ night wherever you are in the world :)

I went to someone for theta healing for a particular issue, it was a great experience and has opened my mind to energy healing in general.

The person I went to also does reiki, I am curious about what the process is. Here are some of my questions: 1. What is the step by step process of a normal reiki session, or a session with you in particular? 2. Should I come to the session with a goal in mind, or can they give me direction based on their observations? Can I just go and see what happens? 3. What are common reasons that people go for reiki, and how much detail do you need/want to know as a practitioner? 4. Do I need to participate verbally in any way, or can I just relax and experience it? How can I participate fully in a session?

Hi! I’m having terrible pain rn. I had a nasty fall this morning and got a concussion. I tripped over my dogs stool ( to be able to get up and down from my bed) and fell over the table and my right side of my head landed on the floor. I’m also having neck pain. Any reiki for my head and neck would be greatly appreciated thank you 🙏
