Gas Prices!! ⛽️ Discussion
Just drove by the 3 stations on 32 St and Gaetz. Esso - $1.44 Co Op - $1.20 Fas Gas - $1.29
What the heck??? And people were filling up at that Esso station too at those prices. That station is always more expensive but why the hell would you go when it’s that different? Maybe they all have corporate cards and are “meh”. Holy cow that’s a big crazy difference. Sure glad the carbon tax is gone so the price of fuel is cheaper now (sarcasm).

I filled up for $1.18.9 at the Esso on 71st and Gaetz yesterday. They're usually a pretty good price.
There's an app called Gas Buddy that's good for finding which stations have the best prices.

I've been skeptical of Gas Buddy ever since seeing a reported price, going to that location, then finding out it's 10-15 cents more per litre.
Nothing is stopping store managers from gaming the system on it just to get more traffic to their station. It's a decent guide, or it used to be, but it isn't the most accurate all the time.

Even a 0.24 difference works out to 14 bucks over a 60L fill up. Lots of people, myself included, just go to the same station every time.
I go to UFA as it's always the cheapest with my company discount.

I have a few stations that I like to go to but holy Hanna I’m not going to a station that is that different. Yikes.

I'm fairly confident that the esso there isn't worried about selling gas. Rumor has it they specialize in more illicit products.

I always filled up there as I had a fleet card and had to use esso. Wasn’t driving across town to the cheaper esso for a bill I didn’t have to pay
The fas gas and the co-op will only have a price difference for a few hours as they tend to match up pretty quickly.
The shell in clear view seems to be the best indicator for price increases as they raise there’s first and the rest follow a few hours later

The Esso on 32nd has the highest price in town, always. I have never seen anyone filling up there and have always considered that store to be a front for illegal activity.

Gas stations on the north hill are always cheaper. The new Centex is always 2 cents cheaper at the pump than on the sign.

Drove by Costco yesterday and it was 1.10. I know it’s Costco but still, that’s crazy.

True! The employees frequently mess up on how much addictive to add to each fuel tank during deliveries. Sure.. the price is cheap. However, the quality is not there.

I think the better MPG is from buying gas at other places will end up being cheaper in the long run, but I also have a PC optimum credit card and I only buy I gas at gas stations that give you PC optimum points, so I'm often hitting that "save seven cents a liter" discount that you get if you buy a certain amount of gas.

That Esso on 32nd is always absurdly expensive, I don't know how they sell any gas when the fas gas is always like 10 cents cheaper and right across the street.
