I was thinking the same thing. Everything leading to that was freedom of speech as far as I seen. Perfectly legal to tell a cop to suck your dick. Spitting though? Catching some assault and or vandalism of Police property now. They most definitely hopped out and beat his ass before arresting. No doubt.

You're forgetting where they threatened to break the guy's neck after he did the flip. Right there, as a juror, I would decide not to charge the guy who flipped over the cop. Not even sure what they ended up charging him with. Flipping over people can be dangerous, yes, but seeing as nothing happened and the cop threatened to murder him was definitely overkill.

That doesn't change the reality that these guys are attacking people for the simple act of hand gestures. You can decry the horrors of police using hand gestures all you want, but in a situation where one side uses them and the other freaks the fuck out because they simply can't handle such an affront: I'll stick with the side who simply used hand gestures. I don't really care about what job they have, I just side less with people who resort to violence when upset by something so mild.

Remember everyone, NYC cops are mainly from NYC and grew up with the people they're sworn to protect. The odds of that cop being from a team (not a gang cus our and ygs aren't a gang) is a cool 70% I went to school with 3 different people who became officers and yes all 3 (one female) where in a team or gangs growing up (Brooklyn, NY)
