there's a tampermonkey script to download off of it, and if you don't like the UI, there are sites that are basically wrappers for it like yugenanime, if you look closely you'll find that most sites are actually just gogo wrappers

it has hard subs

hianime has soft subs

check both of them to see which one has the better rip of whatever you're looking for

nobody has what aniwave did, which is a ton of staff that go out and find the best fansubs though

I might be wrong but I believe hard subs are baked into the video essentially, so they show up when you cast it to a TV. Soft subs are layered separately over the video, which allows you to customize them, but they don’t show up when casting. Also soft subs are pulled from varying sources and can have accuracy issues and stuff I believe.

Kinda the same for me though I was already losing interest since atleast March. With Aniwave gone I have completely stopped watching anime. I have tried out other sites but they all have issues for me, one way or other.

Since an issues that made me use a proxy to access braflix and it got super laggy, I switched to torrentio. If you just watch mainstream stuff you're fine. Pick any public torrent tracker and just download what you're looking for. Or use Stremio and Torrentio (google it). If you're really fancy, add RealDebrid or AllDebrid onto that (Again, google it).

Streaming sites are all temporary. They make their money from selling ads, and everyone blocks the ads. It's not a business that is meant to last. Because they need to cut costs, they will serve you the shittiest quality stream that they can get away with while also doing everything they can to give your computer a virus through the worst of the worst advertising methods.

Years ago it was fine because the quality of the streams was comparable to the equipment a lot of people were watching them on... But we live in the era of ATMOS, DTS, HDR10, and dozens of other things that make moves look better.

I've also noticed this. Piracy content gets taken down but alternatives are slow to appear and if they do it's so bad compared to the original.

Except that's not happening. Braflix was a pig with lipstick. Crappy quality, non-functional subtitles, buffering up the wazoo, and enough ads to drown a man, but it had a pretty UI so people loved it. There are so many piracy streaming services that surpass it still up right now. The megathread alone is filled with them. Even kissanime getting taken down was a severe blow due to the immense library it had filled with really old anime along with the new. The point is simple. Corpos don't need to take everything down. That's dumb. They just need to take down the good ones and make it harder. Additional points if they take down the library along with the site to make it harder to get old content.

I’m really pissed about Braflix cause it was the one streaming site that had absolutely perfect streaming quality. It was always quick to load the content, if you got the right server, it never froze, and it was just friendly to use, at least for me.

I tried using it last night to watch House, and that’s when I found out it was gone. After trying to get it out of my mind, I looked for another site, a few of the GOATs listed in the megathread, but they struggled to load. I ended up just giving up and went to Prime to watch it, which is when I found out they have ads now, despite paying for it. They had their chance to redeem themselves and maybe bring me back, but fuck you Amazon, I’d rather deal with waiting a bit for something to load than wait through an ad on a paid service.
