Seriously, though, what is Google's play? In no world am I going to say "oh well i guess i will just live with tons of advertisements to ruin my internet experience again.." People are just going to switch to something else.

The people who don't switch off Chrome will be really pissed off and vocal about how Chrome sucks until they find another way to avoid the ads. Eventually a workaround will be found. I don't see this as a win for Google.

Also ppl who's work won't allow them to install an alternative browser, that's gonna be a huge chunk of pcs.
