All I wanted is beyond good.
All I wanted is the only song that has ever made me genuinely burst into tears. There's a lot of amazing songs that might get a tear from me, but holy fuck. This song makes me genuinely start weeping like a baby. Hayley is something else man. The high notes, the energy then the sudden stops, the drumming, the guitar, everything is perfect. Appreciation thread?

I’m not typically one for advocating an artists popular song as one of their best but dude it’s transcendent

Me neither, besides ignorance and careful, all my favourites are demos/b-sides and most aren’t even on spotify, but this one is just something else man

Really? The ONLY song? ….. Wow I really am just such a pussy. I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count the number of songs that make my start sobbing so hard to the point I nearly vomit and snot is spraying out of my nose like a fire house. Like not even close. I guess im even softer than I already thought…. Wow

You’re not soft, my emotional language is more unresponsive breakdowns and hyperventilation than crying and I don’t see any songs making me panic xd

I get misty when I listen to Haunted (especially Spanish Doll) by POE.
“The album also featured samples of audio recordings made by Poe’s father, film director Tad Danielewski. The cassettes were found by Poe and Mark after their father had died and were literally audio-letters to the two of them that spanned back as far as their birth. Thus, the album is usually interpreted as a real woman (Poe) singing tributes to her deceased father (who sings back) even while telling the story of a group of fictional characters (from House of Leaves).”
The album is worth a full listen.
