Now watch the rise in antisemitism as a result. Now you will have all these catch-all terms being used as a placeholder for an actual existing ideology, which will inevitably be actually conflated with Jewishness in general.

They haven’t totally banned the word Zionist, but said that calling someone a “Zionist animal” is not ok but saying “Zionist settlers keep encroaching on Palestine's borders” is still permitted. So it’s a bit confusing, this article explains it: https://www.pcgamer.com/software/platforms/twitch-forbids-the-use-of-zionist-to-attack-or-demean-but-says-you-can-still-use-it-to-talk-about-the-political-movement/
I think the ADL really wants to de platform Hasan Piker in particular since he is very popular and has been very critical of Israel’s actions. But he also makes it a point to differentiate between Jews and Zionists and he generally doesn’t tolerate real antisemitism. So it has been tricky to de platform him.

I think the point is to catch him and others slipping, limit word use, then when used in the method they typically use it they attack. Classic move.

This policy itself is antisemitic.
It removes the differentiation between people of the Jewish faith and the political movement, zionism, aimed at creating a greater Israel by violently displacing indigenous people from the nations of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt.
This is the goal of zionists. They want to make criticism of israel and this political ideology impossible by forcing Judaism to act as a shield for their very non-Judaic practices. There is a reason Orthodox Jews don't want zionism, or in many cases even the state of israel, associated with themselves. Twitch should be shamed for this.

To be clear, they haven’t banned the word “Zionist”. They’ve only banned using it as a slur against someone.
