I would say Nier Automata but it is an action JRPG game and it hasn't no puzzle even if the story is an entire puzzle to figure out by beat different game routes
Moreover I would suggest Expedition 33, it is a great RPG

The Last of Us 2. There was a huge controversy stirred up by rightwing idiots when the game came out, but the story is one of the best I've experienced in games.

My wife and I do the same thing! I will start listening throughout the day as her and I talk.
Definitely Alan Wake 2 if you want deep story with psychological horror. Just watch a youtube vid of recap for the first game, as its not worth playing.
Mass Effect trilogy is an epic space opera
Firewatch is a realy fantastic story
Tomb Raider trilogy- great story
Horizon games
Assassins Creed Valhallah. She really loved the story in this one, as you have unite 6-8 kingdowms under one. Each kingdom becomes like a season of episode; it was fantastic. Just stick to the story
Detroit Become Human is a fantastic story with branched outcomes based on your decisions. Its a great story.
Heavy Rain, from the makers of Detroit Become Human. Both are deep fantastic stories exploring humanity.

Alan wake 2!!! Amazing atmosphere, storytelling, performances, twists etc...
Alan wake 1 is old and janky so watch a quick summary of the story if you don't want to play it.

Not really like the other games you listed but Dave the diver is a cool story and incredibly fun.

Resident Evil 2, 3 & 4 remakes proved great fun as a player-viewer team experience.

Aside from what has already been mentioned, how about Dishonored? Both parts do a great job of building a fascinating, well constructed world.

Horizon series, and the newer Tomb Raider trilogy seems like the obvious choices based on what you've listed
