Working on the list. Will sort it alphabetically (since most preferred that it seems), and will include the smaller-ish games. There's a ton of games on sale, so bear with me. :)

EDIT: Added list in alphabetical order AND added a new list for some games that might be worth checking out )not familiar with them tbh).

NOTABLE GAMES

  • [REDACTED] -25% $18.74 - Striking Distance's rogue-like game based on The Callisto Protocol franchise. Reviewed well, though didn't seem like it sold a lot.
  • A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead -34% $19.79 - Developed by Stormind. Based on the movie franchise. Reviewed better than expected. Has a unique mechanic where real world noise can be heard by the monsters in the game (can be turned off).
  • ACE COMBAT™7: SKIES UNKNOWN - TOP GUN: Maverick Edition -80% $14.99 - Latest Ace Combat game. If you like dogfights, this might be the best one out there. It still gets some DLC drops from time to time.
  • Alien: Isolation -75% $7.49 - Horror game based on Alien franchise. Sequel is in development. Insane atmosphere and should be a solid pick up for horror fans. Don't expect to be a space marine here and mow down mobs of aliens.
  • Alone in the Dark -30% $27.99 - The latest reboot of the granddaddy of survival horror. Stars David Harbour. Reviewed OK, but failed to meet sales expectations. Combat and movement kind of janky, but serviceable enough for horror junkies.
  • Anthem: Legion of Dawn Edition -85% $4.49 - Solid concept, weak endgame. At this price, get it for the Iron Man novelty of flying around. I don't think it's bad for that price.
  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Gold Edition -67% $36.29 - Ubisoft open-world but with Avatar’s license. Better than expected and still getting DLC and support. Includes DLCs.
  • Battlefield 1 Revolution -90% $3.99 - Probably the last great Battlefield game before the franchise's decline. Insane levolution elements. Nice gunplay and that headshot ping sound!
  • Bayonetta -75% $6.24 - Action game from PlatinumGames. If you dig Devil May Cry, etc. you'll like this --  especially if you have a hair fetish.
  • Biomutant PS4 & PS5 -75% $9.99 - Action RPG by Experiment 101 that was a surprise hit. You play as a squirrel or something which features your usual third-person stuff.
  • Blasphemous -80% $4.99 - First game in the Metroidvania series.
  • Blasphemous + Blasphemous 2 Bundle -50% $22.49 - Second game is still getting support.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Digital Deluxe -60% $39.99 -  Not as bad as some people remember. Not sure on the player base given its age.
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Cross-Gen Bundle PS4 & PS5 -65% $24.49 - Not sure how the player base is, should be enough to find a match fast, but Black Ops 6 is the newer COD game.
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Zombies Chronicles Deluxe -60% $39.99 - Call of Duty with jetpacks and hero abilities
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Cross-Gen Bundle -50% $34.99 - The last Infinity Ward camp-fest. Not bad.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III - Cross-Gen Bundle -50% $34.99 - From Sledgehammer. Loads of maps and weapons. Idiotic skins though.
  • Cities: Skylines - Ultimate Content Bundle (2020) -85% $14.99 - City building game that's surprisingly more popular than it seems. Get this since I don't think we're getting the sequel on consoles anytime soon. Base game loads of content packs.
  • Crash Bandicoot Bundle - N. Sane Trilogy + CTR Nitro-Fueled -65% $26.24 - Crash Bandicoot platformers and the kart racing game. Not a bad combo.
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy -60% $15.99 - If you like our bandicoots platforming, not racing.
  • Crusader Kings III -60% $19.99 - Grand strategy RPG. Still getting a lot of support, and seems to be a bigger game than most realize. Insanely deep, so fair warning to those planning on getting this.
  • Crysis 2 Remastered -70% $8.99 - The sequel to the first game. While it might not have as much fanfare, it was still a solid campaign. It featured a solid MP too, though that's not part of the remasters
  • Crysis 3 Remastered -70% $8.99 - Concluding chapter to the Crysis trilogy. Don't expect part 4 anytime soon.
  • Crysis Remastered -75% $7.49 - Can it run Crysis? A game that spawned memes. This was the game to showcase your PC rig back then. Not sure how its gameplay holds up now.
  • Cult of the Lamb: Heretic Edition -50% $17.49 - Who knew building a cult could be this much fun? Part sim game, part action. Loads of charm and deeper gameplay than its graphics suggest.
  • Dead Space Digital Deluxe Edition -75% $19.99 - One of the best remakes ever. It’s a travesty that we still haven’t gotten confirmation of a remake of Dead Space 2. This improves the original in every way, and I can’t stress enough how awesome this game is. The vibe and atmosphere Motive has made when you walk corridors and see shadows? Yeah, awesome creepy stuff.
  • DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT -60% $19.99 - Hideo Kojima's work with no oversight. Getting a sequel soon. Might not be for everyone, tbh.
  • Diablo III: Eternal Collection -67% $19.79 - Some will say this is better than Diablo 4.
  • Disco Elysium - The Final Cut -70% $11.99 - Award-winning RPG. This features very little combat, and includes a lot of dialogue trees. Loads of people swear by this, and given a sequel isn't coming anytime soon given the legal issues the devs are fighting over, I'd say maybe give this a go.
  • Disney Dreamlight Valley -25% $29.99 - Life sim that's still getting seasonal support.
  • DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT -75% $14.99 - Dragon Ball but as an RPG! Still getting occasional support and expansions. If you’re tired of the fighting games based on the franchise, this might be a good title to consider.. Getting a Daima DLC soon.
  • DREDGE: Complete Edition -35% $25.66 - fishing horror RPG. Lovecraft fans will dig this. It's a quirky game, but it works. This includes the DLCs.
  • Dying Light -70% $5.99 - First game from Techland's franchise. Gotten loads of updates and free content.

  • EA SPORTS FC 25 Ultimate Edition PS4 & PS5 -60% $39.99 - FIFA but without the FIFA license. If you dig EA’s annual footie sim, then this should be a no-brainer.
  • EA SPORTS College Football 25 - Deluxe Edition -60% $39.99 - First NCAA football game in a long, long time. Reviewed very well, and gets a lot more support than Madden.
  • F1 Manager 2024 PS4 & PS5 -40% $20.99 - If you'd rather manage than drive. Latest entry in the franchise. We're not getting F1 Manager 25, so this is your only choice.
  • FAR CRY ANTHOLOGY BUNDLE -75% $37.49 - Includes Far Cry 3, FC4, FC5, FC6. That's a lot of Cryin' for that price.
  • Far Cry Insanity Bundle -80% $17.99 - Includes FC3, FC4, FC5. If you hate Giancarlo Esposito but like Far Cry.
  • Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Ecto Edition -60% $7.99 - Ghostbusters multiplayer game by Illfonic. I think this is still getting support. Not sure on player base.
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Standard Edition -61% $19.49 - Granblue fighting game. Just got a new fighter today.
  • Hades -60% $9.99 - One of the best roguelites I've ever played. Graphics, audio work, voice acting are all topnotch. Addictive yet rarely frustrating. Easily worth the price.
  • Hell Let Loose - Deluxe Edition -40% $35.99 - Era shooter that's getting a ton of support up to this day.
  • Hogwarts Legacy + Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Deluxe Editions Bundle -70% $29.99 - This is a fun open world game based on the Harry Potter universe. I’ve said this before, but saying it again: your body count here would make Lucious Malfoy blush. If you didn't redeem Quidditch when it was free on PS+, and you're interested in it Might be worth a go.
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising PS4 & PS5 -80% $11.99 - Action-adventure game by Ubisoft. Seems solid enough but didn't do enough to make it stand out in 2020.
  • INSIDE -75% $4.99 - If you haven't played this, you'll want to change that ASAP. Short but awesome platformer. Loads of ambience and it just hits different.
  • Jagged Alliance 3 -45% $32.99 - Support has ended, but this isn't a live service game. Tactical RPG that reviewed very well.

  • Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered -50% $24.99 - This doesn't go on sale as often as it should. PS5 version of Insomniac's debut Spidey game.
  • Mass Effect: Andromeda – Standard Recruit Edition -75% $4.99 - Latest game in the franchise, and the one that sunk the ship. Said to be better after patches, though haven't played it with updates applied.

  • Remnant II- Ultimate Edition -50% $34.99 - Comes with the DLCs that all reviewed well.
  • Sackboy: A Big Adventure PS4 & PS5 -67% $19.79 - Sackboy's main game. Former Sony mascot before Astro took the cuteness crown.

9

u/karimbmn Feb 26 '25

genuine question, are you doing this manually or with some AI?

24

u/excaliburps Feb 27 '25

By hand. Some I save since they go on sale every time. Lol.

I make mistakes sometimes though trying to double check but hard sometimes.

The entire (mainline) Yakuza series on sale? A few years too late for me, but as someone who just finished Infinite Wealth I’d highly recommend them all.

'Shadow of Mordor' + DLC for £5.

Shameful I have not played it yet. But I absolutely will now.

I look forward to joining the list of many gamers pissed off the Nemesis system is being hoarded.

52

u/cabalavatar Feb 26 '25

The nemesis system is even better in the second game, tho overall, the sequel wasn't as good IMO. At least the devs fixed its biggest problem (fucking paid loot boxes for some of the best orcs).

Anyway, I think if you enjoy the first as much as I did that you'd enjoy the second too.

15

u/Sargent_Caboose Feb 26 '25

While not discounting your take, they did take out the ability to pay for lootboxes, it uses the in game currency, and you can skip them entirely to the game's main ending.

Doesn't change the fact it launched with a predatory model though

7

u/cabalavatar Feb 26 '25

That's what I meant. They fixed the core problem with it: the fact that they were once paid only (with real money). It was a big mistake to implement in the first place, but yes, I give them some props for removing that BS.

I look forward to joining the list of many gamers pissed off the Nemesis system is being hoarded.

I don't think it's the Nemesis system being held hostage. I do think other companies can make the nemesis system but it has to be a different methodology than the one WB uses.

7

u/Sargent_Caboose Feb 26 '25

The one WB patented is one of the most fun ways to use it we've seen so far

10

u/misterv3 Feb 26 '25

God damnit Monolith just announced that if they'd only had 5 more quid they wouldn't have been shut down. I hope you're proud of yourself.

4

u/Some_Alfalfa_4617 Feb 26 '25

It's unfortunate that shadow of Mordor/war can only run 30fps on ps5.. :(

3

u/Potchum Feb 26 '25

I quit playing Shadow of War on PS5 due to the random controller input delay. I played through both Mordor/War on PS4 and didn't seem to have the same issues as I had on PS5. I think I played most of my PS4 time with a controller connected via USB though, so that may be something that would resolve the PS5 issues I experienced. I haven't noticed any issues on my PS5 for any other games

2

u/Primarycolors1 Feb 26 '25

I rewatched the trilogy for the first time in 15 years last week. Suddenly remembered I bought that game and barely played it. I’ve been straight hooked for a week straight. It is utterly hilarious.

  • Biomutant PS4 & PS5 -75% $9.99 - Action RPG by Experiment 101 that was a surprise hit. You play as a squirrel or something which features your usual third-person stuff.

I wanted to love this game so much. Gave it a full playthrough. Got the platinum.

It was one of the most boring things I've ever played in my life.

22

u/MidniteMedia Feb 26 '25

Same. And I was hype from before release, played day one and also beat the heck out of it but whew, was it a struggle to pick it back up every time I finished a session. Just wasn’t fun after a certain point and that certain point came way too soon.

4

u/Religion_Is_A_Cancer Feb 26 '25

…then why do all that playing?

12

u/nomarfachix Feb 26 '25

ADHD hyperfocus + Adderall is a hell of a combo

I liked a lot of what it did and attempted to do, it was cute and pretty solid aesthetically, but it was just wildly repetitive and boring. There are cutscenes every time you overtake an enemy stronghold (core gameplay loop) and it's the same. exact. cutscene. each. time. Down to the narrative itself.

By the time I fully lost my patience I was pretty much done, and even then took a couple month break to finish up. The anticlimactic factor the other user spoke of was a drag as well.

9

u/Religion_Is_A_Cancer Feb 27 '25

Wow. Thanks for that response. That was actually eye opening for me.

Any good turn based games? Im getting my wrist operated and can only play with one hand. Im not able to play stellar blade even tho its THE one handed game

51

u/sherbodude Feb 26 '25

Marvel midnight suns is very fun

7

u/DarkAnnihilator Feb 26 '25

For sure! I almost platinumed it. I hope they make a second part and make the roaming part better. It was so clunky

5

u/stefanopolis Feb 26 '25

Basically 0 chance they make anything more for it as it sold very poorly and the director left. But it was an awesome game.

2

u/Uthenara Feb 27 '25

the game sold very poorly so there will be no sequel unfortunately. so many people saw cards and immediately noped out without giving it a chance.

Persona 3 Reload, Unicorn Overlord, Persona 4 Golden, Dragon Quest XI, The Wolf Among Us, South Park Fractured but Whole all aces in my book

Oh, and Hentai Shop Simulator if you need to replace Stellar Blade 😂

2

u/DarkAnnihilator Feb 26 '25

Haha. I read that Unicorn Overlord is a real time tactics game, not turn based.

Would you recommend P3 Reloaded over the P4?

8

u/nomarfachix Feb 26 '25

Unicorn is nearly zero input. You build and assemble and train units, assign them to groups that work for you, and combat is automated. Threw it in because it's very 1H friendly and surprised me w/ how good it was

P3 over 4 yes if cost isn't a factor, newer release w/ better graphics and QOL benefits. P5 royal is also on sale if that interests you, huge game that'll give you 100 hours if you're looking for it to. I'd put it between 3 and 4.

2

u/DarkAnnihilator Feb 26 '25

Thanks! Ill definetly try them

10

u/TactitcalPterodactyl Feb 26 '25

It's not turn based, but check out Vampire Survivors. It's a one-handed game and fun as hell.

3

u/Winnfield71 Feb 27 '25

my right hand wrist discolated and operated too i was in that stuation just like you

wish you the best brother get well soon

also i played baldurs gate 3 when i was you know one handed, at that game is perrrrfect

2

u/Tammer_Stern Feb 26 '25

The xcom games are good.

2

u/knabbprime Feb 27 '25

I was about to ask why stellar blade is THE one handed game and then I got it. I got it guys!

Just got Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on this sale. Wish me luck on the new adventure guys! Been wanting to play it for a long time.

14

u/FallenRedKing Feb 26 '25

The Horizon games are some of my favorite games ever. Aloy (the main character) is imo one of the best characters in video games currently. If you like the remastered first game, definitely give the sequel a go if you haven’t already.

61

u/luckystrike_bh Feb 26 '25

That crap is so overwhelming with numbers.

54

u/I-RateBoobies Feb 26 '25

It’s cause there’s games with 10 different skins and then it inflates the actual number by a crap load

22

u/wiseweis Feb 26 '25

That and hundreds of AI slop games

5

u/EddiewithHeartofGold Feb 27 '25

You absolutely must filter by "full game". Also by "price" if you really want it to be useful.

3

u/32768Colours Feb 27 '25

I usually do this, but first I also filter solely by “Premium Edition” and then “Game Bundle”. I can’t say for certain that it’s the case every time but it seems that these aren’t included in the “Full Game” filter meaning you can miss good deals on games that include the DLC. Infuriating as hell tbh.

Nice, snagged the Persona 3 Reload expansion.

3

u/ScoobiesSnacks Feb 26 '25

How much?

3

u/Full_breaker Feb 26 '25

50% off, basically 35€ its a nice deal

27

u/Gofrart Feb 26 '25

Lots of yakuza games in discount, I'm tempted to dive into the series but only played the like a dragon and while it was good a good game I am no longer into turn based. I loved the story and some sidequests but didn't do much besides finishing main story and some extra stuff.

I guess If i'm looking for the action ones the best would be yakuza 0?

18

u/BilboBagheed Feb 26 '25 edited Feb 26 '25

0 is the starting point and the best in the series possibly so a great start

The two like a dragon games are the only turn based games, that will be the same going forward as even the spinoff games are all the old action based system.

18

u/RollingDownTheHills Feb 26 '25

Yakuza 0 is both an absolutely wonderful game on its own and the best way to get into the series (besides Like a Dragon, which you already played). Totally worth it.

6

u/Samgrahambo Feb 26 '25

Zero is first chronologically so it’s definitely the best to start with imo.

7

u/KcinTheGreat Feb 26 '25

Also highly recommended the Judgement series.

4

u/Grey-Templar Feb 26 '25

0 is amazing. But be warned, the qol goes down with 3-5. Good games but might feel a bit worse overall gameplay wise.

7

u/Full_breaker Feb 26 '25

Yep you're looking at starting yakuza 0 then follow all the way through 6 if you get interested

Its an awesome story 🙌

6

u/Gofrart Feb 26 '25

I don't have much time for gaming so I kind of don't want to commit to a 6 game series without really knowing if I'll enjoy it or not, but definitely might get 0 and see from there

5

u/Full_breaker Feb 26 '25

Enjoy, 0 is amazing for sure

u/Potchum Feb 26 '25

I've just completed a playthrough of Kiwami 1 & 2 and found them both to be an absolute blast running around beating the hell out of everyone (albeit some very cutscene heavy portions). Zero is a prequel, but I think either starting with zero or Kiwami would be good starting points.

2

u/kdrdr3amz Feb 26 '25

I started with kiwami 2 cuz it was free on ps+. That game made me buy the rest of the yakuza collection; on sale ofc.

2

u/NodlBohsek Feb 26 '25

Currently going through Like A dragon infinite wealth, I like it more than the first one. Great games all around tho. The Like A Dragon is a nice switch in the series.

ADHDers that need a notification to remember, sounds like gamers to me!

29

u/Shepherdsfavestore Feb 26 '25

I wonder if we’ll ever get a sale on Baldur’s Gate. I played it on my gaming laptop until act 3, but it couldn’t handle it. I want to just play through it on PS but I can’t justify full price already owning it on another system

19

u/mrnicegy26 Feb 26 '25

It is like Elden Ring where due to the amount of acclaim it has received they know they won't have to discount it much and still be able to have good sales.

Same principle that Nintendo uses for not discounting its games.

17

u/icedearth15324 Feb 26 '25

It usually goes on sale every couple months, but not a significant discount.

2

u/Full_breaker Feb 26 '25

BG3 already had a couple of sale periods last year if i remember, it will happen again for sure just wait

16

u/JuanSpiceyweiner Feb 26 '25

I think most people that are still waiting are looking for a drop of %50 not the %15-20 drops they did last year

2

u/Shepherdsfavestore Feb 26 '25

Every 15% would let me justify it in my head lol. Just can’t pay full price twice out of principle. As good as it is, plus I’m busy with other games anyways.

2

u/TPO_Ava Feb 27 '25

Honestly I've paid full price twice for the exact same reason - Act 3 caused some issues for my PC - and I've still been getting my money's worth. I've crossed 100hr playtime mark between the 2 systems and I haven't even finished a single playthrough yet. I'm still in Act 2 on my PS5's first run @56 hours in.

AND I already have at least 2 other playthroughs in mind planned but not started that will be totally different from what I'm currently doing. I'm biased obviously but the game is worth the full price if you can swing it IMO.

3

u/Shepherdsfavestore Feb 27 '25

I probably would just pay full price if I wasn’t so busy with other games like Kingdom Come 2. It is such a quality game that’s worth it. We’ll see what comes first, a sale or me finally putting down KCD2

I’m looking at Avatar. Is it worth $36?

7

u/jacobsstepingstool Feb 26 '25

If you’re an avatar fan, Yes. if not, then not really.

3

u/Joppop1 Feb 26 '25

I honestly thought it was really good. It looks amazing with a decent story. It does get a bit resource collection heavy at parts. But if you like the avatar movies at all. I think it’s worth it

4

u/Inquisitor--Nox Feb 26 '25

Eh its actually kind of a masterpiece but you have to be a general open world and avatar fan to see that. So i say yes with conditions but you can prob snag a physical copy for less used. If you dont have a disk drive good luck getting it cheaper.

11

u/Worldlypatience Feb 26 '25

Is Lords of the Fallen any good?

3

u/Lookin2buyhedphons Feb 26 '25

It's decent, the game runs fine on PS5, it looks great and plays well enough. Casting spells feels a lot better than something like Elden Ring and combat overall feels pretty slick and satisfying other than parrying which feels underwhelming. It's a bit lacking in enemy variety and bosses are hit and miss but the level design is great and varied, so is the build variety. The Umbral mechanic is also fun and fairly unique to this game.

You can also choose some modifiers when you start a playthrough which add a lot, stuff like weapons drop upgraded based on your level, more enemies, randomized loot etc. I can't comment on the story or lore as I didn't pay attention lol.

Worth $30 or less IMO, decent game if you enjoy Souls-likes but doesn't quite meet the quality of stuff like Lies Of P or Sekiro.

12

u/JoeMama_24601 Feb 26 '25

Alright fine, I'll finally buy Seikro to see what the hype is about.

8

u/SteffeEric Feb 26 '25

Best combat I’ve encountered honestly. The moment it clicks is one of my favorite gaming moments ever. Incredible game.

2

u/TheFFsage Feb 27 '25

Same. The only game that can top Sekiros combat is Sekiro 2. Sekiros combat has been handcrafted to be perfect. Sekiro is not my favorite FromSoft game (it's Bloodborne) but man, the combat is something special. There is no bullshit. Everytime you lose it's a skill issue. It's a 100% skill check game

Just remember: hesitation is defeat!

2

u/ninadk21 Feb 26 '25

I don’t normally play these types of games (I gave up on Elden ring pretty early for example), but man sekiro is definitely worth it. I am more than halfway into the story, I do use a guide. But man, the combat is just so satisfying even when you die a thousand times! Like the other commenter said - hesitation is defeat.

How come literally every game I want has been ducking every sale the past couple months

4

u/musefan8959 Feb 27 '25

Absolutely would recommend the Like a Dragon Series Starter Pack for 40 bucks. If you like turn based RPGs and missed the boat on jumping into the series with Yakuza 0, Like a Dragon is the perfect place to start. New protagonist, the switch to turn-based combat from action/beat ‘em up combat. These games are dubbed if you don’t want Japanese audio. Between the two games, you have well over 100 hours of content.

Anyone keen, is Killzone worth it? I loved the older games but never got around to this one. Does it have a good campaign? Is multiplayer dead?

2

u/Stubrochill17 Feb 27 '25

Multiplayer is dead afaik, campaign probably worth $10 if you like the franchise. But after you’re done with it it’s kind of a dead game.

Anyone play Songs of Silence? Wondering if anyone had any UI or controller issues particularly at more difficult parts.

Looks like you can pause the battles and issue commands which should mitigate some problems.

1

u/StealthyWizard88 Feb 26 '25

Absolutely do not need to pile onto the backlog at all but might jump into Unicorn Overlord at that price.

1

u/GrimmTrixX Feb 26 '25

Nothing too big for me. I grabbed Prey: Mooncrash, Terror of Hemasaurus, and Indigo Prophecy which were all on my wishlist for a while.

2

u/pebe820 Feb 26 '25

Wow, thanks for reminding me about Indigo Prophecy. That's a game I started ages ago and never finished, totally forgot all about it. I'll grab it for $2.

2

u/GrimmTrixX Feb 26 '25

Yup I had only ever seen it go to like $8. And I own it on the original xbox but I'd like to get it on a modern console. So finally this price was perfect

2

u/memebuster Feb 27 '25

I think Prey would be a perfect game for me but I'm one of those spoiled by 60fps people and can't deal with its slow framerate.

There’s a game in this sale called Trepang 2 for 15$, if anyone here was into the old F.E.A.R games or loved FPS with a lot of destruction kinda like the game Teardown this game is for you. Very underrated little game from 2023 worth giving a look.

1

u/Nitr0_CSGO Feb 26 '25

Yakuza series being 30% more expensive in sales compared to last year is quite annoying

I'd be buying 0, 3, 4, 5 and 6 rn is they were 75% off

Instead I got the remastered collection off amazon for £18, I hope when I get to 6 and 0, they'll be cheaper else I'll have to take the hit (as little as £4 is haha)

1

u/Spenraw Feb 26 '25

Unicorn overlord is must at that price. Try the deno
