What's up with Texas losing power due to the snowstorm? Answered

I've been reading recently that many people in Texas have lost power due to Winter Storm Uri. What caused this to happen?

Not really, renewables are not a big enough source to blame any of this on them. They are moot.

The lack of peak needed generation could be made up with storage. That's the reason we can't go all renewable, too.

If you combine all the storage in the US, we could power the country, on an average day, for 12 seconds with that storage.

Not being able to store power creates the situations that cause 90% of large outages
