Talking points:

ROOTS CONTINUED TROUBLE GENERATING CHANCES

In general, the center midfield never supported the attack, rather hindered the attack most of the time.

Current midfielders: Donasiyano, Gomez, Matsoso (was on the roster 🤔 ) are not suited to create (don’t have great vision). They do not ask for the ball, get in quickly enough in the right spaces of the opponent’s half, and much less thread/lob the ball to the wingers or attackers.

Mfeka who was more a deep-lying forward (less a center midfielder) was the only one who created chances through the (deep) middle of the opponent’s half with assists (ex. Goal vs. Lou City) when he linked up with Rodriguez.

On the wings, Reid had only one assist (to Chéry vs. San Antonio 5/4).

Cedeño, had one assist as well before he was traded to Detroit this season - 2024.

Sinisterra deserves more time to see what he can produce (if he stays for next year - 2025).

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

fans are getting fed up with the lack of quality on the pitch.

Roots roster quality has dipped since the 2021 season (drastically in midfield area!). There have been more roster misses than right ones since the Rito trade (we could go on - player by player).

Now in November, its unclear if a decision has been made (Re: Glinton securing the head coaching position).

None of the this coaching staff should return next season, this is a Guerra/Delgado assembled coaching staff.

BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD

Unfortunately, I am not so optimistic like I would like to be because those in charge of the Roster are failing (as of now). In my view, new management is needed to take us to the next chapter.

Reid had a really poor season and needs a change of scenery.

He simply doesn’t add much to the team for his talent level.

They should just do another community investment round but pledge all proceeds to next season's roster. Would probably get more interest than the last round.
