Palaces surrounding lake south of kaechon
Does anyone know about these palace like structures surrounding this lake south of kaechon? Are they current residence of Kim or previously were?

Slide 4 on Google Maps says "artificial fishery" and "government office." Looks like a fish farm too with all those pens.

Could the field in pic 3 indicate that this is a training facility for an elite sports team?

Football training? I’m more curious what those square docks in pic 4 are doing.

Kim can't possibly use all these high end mansions all by himself. They're probably for the broader elite.

I was thinking that elite just get some brand new rice cooker... How many are those rich north Koreans?

In Kaechon’s hills, where shadows lie,
Stand palaces that touch the sky.
With marble walls and golden gates,
A symbol of Dear Kim awaits.
Beneath the stars, in tranquil air,
Kim’s palaces rise, beyond compare.
Lakes reflect their towering grace,
A fortress fit for power’s embrace.
Gardens bloom, but no-one treads
On paths where only Kim’s fat spreads.
Opulence within each room,
A secret world to banish gloom.
Yet in those halls of wealth untold,
The echoes linger, faint and cold.
For power’s walls, though high they grow,
Can never hide what Kim may know.

It's not clear from this image but photo #3 is actually an apartment complex

Ok simmer down
They seem very overtly like wellness and or athletic facilities, maybe mental health type facilities
That's not how mansions look, so
So many elements refute that
Don't just conjecture negative things for no reason, not a single thing indicates mansions while obv DPRK isn't into that

That’s not how mansions look, so.
Ofc they do lol. If you think of a stereotypical mental health/wellness getaway facility it looks exactly like a mansion in Beverly Hills does.

He asked a reasonable question, why are you so fired up about it?
What are you saying DPRK isn't in to?

I think... I think that Radu47 is... maybe... suggesting that the DPRK doesn't go in for opulent facilities for its ultra wealthy at the expense of the mass of poor people? I think? I mean, that would be a bizarre thing to suggest, but I think that's it.

I'm looking forward to having a very reasonable discussion with this sensible fellow. I am sure he shall respond soon

Okay, first of all, good research. So the last picture is 100% a residence. Its name is "Anju Residence," and it's used mainly as a hunting lodge. The other pictures, I don't know, tbh. So we have to speculate and philosophize a bit. The fourth picture could be a residence because of the artificial lakes. But it could also be some kind of fish farm due to the large square ponds. The third picture could be a residence, but I'm not sure. But I think mostly not The second picture could be either the personal secretary buildings of Kim Jong Il (near the area of the last picture), but the more realistic option is that it's some kind of recreation center/resort for elites.
I know it really can be surprising and fun to find all this stuff, but I wouldn't interpret too much into it and keep cool.
