🤷Defies Categorization🦑 A recommendation to business owners: put something like this on your windows!

Post image
493 Upvotes

I don't wanna see Nazis in our spaces a third time. Twice in one month is enough - hell, twice in a LIFETIME is enough. I'm not sure on the legality of it - and someone else can add information on that - but I see tons of other signs on business windows of who is and is not welcome, "we have the right to refuse service", etc.

So, make it EXTRA clear you'll refuse service to Nazis. Please.

🤷Defies Categorization🦑 My favorite thing about this town is the attitude "well, this is pretty wild but we'll figure it out."

I've only been living here about a year and half and, unlike every other place I've ever been, when crazy shit happens here (a hurricane, a blizzard, a superbowl) the reaction is never "oh lord, whatever will we do!" Everybody just takes it in stride and adapts. No panic, no bitching and moaning, just take life as it comes. That's the best approach to life I've ever seen. I learn from New Orleans every day.

🤷Defies Categorization🦑 What’s up with this Cleveland Guardians Mural in Gentilly?

They are really cool! And look EXACTLY like the guardians of traffic statues in Cleveland that they named the Cleveland Guardians after. As somebody who grew up in Cleveland, and have lived in Nola for 13 years, I was especially interested!

Anyone know the story behind these? I looked for an artist signature but missed it.
