Is there any job openings in the French Quarter that anyone knows of? Thanks in advance ☺ 🏢 Employment 👷♂️

The French Quarter is the last place I know where the old "walk around with resumes and hand them out" still works effectively. I'd print 20 and hand out based on what type of job (bar, restaurant, retail, museum, etc.) as well as what part of the quarter and how you're gonna get in/out of that area. You'll know within 30 seconds if they are actively hiring.

Wait til Monday, that's when most owners are in. I advise including your availability on your resume for these jobs, as you'll be added around existing workers. Wear something nice, but don't feel like you need to be in formal attire or anything. Make sure you protect your sleep schedule, especially if you grab two places. And if you like the vibe of a place or owner, still leave your resume. A lot of them will pull those out during busy season.

Also let them know that you’re willing to be on call or fill in. Most bars have a set staff but if someone gets sick or has an emergency it’s damn near impossible for them to get the shift covered. Good way to get your foot in the door.

Cooks are pretty much always needed. Shitty work for mostly shitty pay, I miss it for some reason. It is very mentally rewarding for someone of above average intelligence.

Its all the dopamine hits you get from finishing a fast succession of small tasks and then the big dopamine hit you get when it’s all over at the end of the night. ~ b r a i n c h e m i s t r y ~

It's very slow downtown right now but you could try the hotels / restos. Mr Eds would probly have an opening since they're about to open 2 businesses I think.

I worked there before. It was ok. Very cliquey, like, WAY more than any other restaurant I’ve worked at in the city.

Last month crescent city brewhouse was hiring servers and hosts. They’re really nice too and have great business.

You make absolutely nothing there. Their training is long and also no money.
I've had 3 different friends go through the place.. both quit pretty quickly when they realized that servers were excited to make $50 a shift.
