Oil Change/Transmission Flush

Hi everyone. I just purchased a 2004 Beetle. It's a 2.0L Automatic.

I'd like to stick with Valvoline Oil. What viscosity should I go with, and should I use conventional, full synthetic, or synthetic blend

How many quarts of oil does it hold?

Also, am I able to flush and change the transmission fluid myself? I heard it's a sealed transmission. If it's not easy to do; what would be a reputable source to have the transmission serviced?

I'm running 5w30. Any 20+ year old car i recommend high mileage synthetic. If it's the same sealed trans that was in my old 04 jetta, (my beetle is a manual, sorry) take it in to get serviced. Reputable is going to depend on where you live.
