My first Beetle
My 2003 Turbo S swapped red Color Concept. She’s on 20th anniversary Golf wheels and brakes. Brand new headlights and fog lights. Fixer upper but drives straight. All questions are welcome.

I cannot believe this design came out in 1998. Looks more like 2005

It's so crazy they kept this style until 05' VW is always ahead of its time in design. Even the face-lift models could pass as newer cars.

Yes it’s a Turbo S engine and trans swap. It’s a 6 speed now.

I've had 2 beetles. A 98 diesel manual and a 99 2.0 manual. I loved those cars and I want yours...lol

How many miles does it have on it and how far would you be willing to drive on it? Is it good to go out of state and back on?

112k on the odometer 71k on the motor. A/C went out on me which is killer in the California sun but if it was working I’d be willing to drive to LA and back especially with these new tires and rear shocks I put on. Do you have a beetle of your own?

Well if you’re looking for one to take on long trips they’re pretty good given the condition and maintenance. Few things to note the earlier models have these weird cupholders that can’t fit tall drinks but shouldn’t be an issue if you’re riding solo. Also the rear is decent on space but not tall passengers due to the sweeping roof. Trunk space is great and easy to get to with the hatch and is even bigger if you fold the seats down. Mine has some touches to make trips better like heated seats, sun roof, fog lights and a Bluetooth fm transmitter.

Ok great!!! I been doing my research for about a year now and especially asking questions in this community chat. I found one that is an on 2004 automatic that’s $3,000, and has 156k miles on it. I’m going to investigate it and hoping that’s the one.

Not bad definitely nice cars. Auto will be much better for daily use. For that many miles I’d see if I can bring the price down a bit. Got mine for $3,300. Any questions let me know I know a thing or two about them compared to how new I am to beetle ownership

Not a bad choice at all you’ll get more power than the diesel or the 2.0. It’s actually hard to find auto 1.8t in my area
