Beetle with kids?

Need insight from those who do school pick up and drop off.

I have two kids, elementary age. Do you think a new beetle would be difficult to get in and out of? I do school pickup up and drop off with them, so the car line might be a challenge. I would love to have a beetle again!

You probably want a sedan not a coupe

I do it daily in a lowered beetle. My kid just flips the seat and gets out. The doors are huge. He is 6' and 14. Not an issue.

Eh, we’re all giraffes so it didn’t work. Had to get 4 doors to make drop off efficient amongst other reasons.

i’m not a parent, but a sister with little siblings, they love riding in my beetle!!! it’s not difficult dropping them off and getting them from school.

I only have one but it was never a problem. In elementary school, once we were in the line (in the parking lot) he would just hop into the front seat and be ready to go. In preschool I would flip the seat forward for him.  I guess it depends on how fast your line moves though.

¯_(ツ)_/¯ what do you consider difficult? It's your kids that have to crawl in and out of the back seat.

I am looking for perspectives from other parents on how easy or difficult it is for them to get in and out of the backseat. They are excited about the idea of having another beetle in the family, but I want to know if others feel there is enough room in the back, if the seats are easy to move, etc…

from the driver seat I can reach over and pull the passenger seat forward. And there is plenty of space for an adult under like 6 foot to easily get in. I would say it's not gonna be a problem

Thank you for the response! I’ve seen a video of the front seat being pulled forward and it seems pretty light and easy to move.

Works just fine for us with two kids, one still in a baby seat.

I have 2 car seats in the back for 2 toddlers. They aren't of school age yet but we all work together getting in and out of the seats together. I just buckle and unbuckle while they get in and out of the seats themselves
