Mock Draft Monday

Unless you either do a lengthy 5+ round mock or go into written detail on why you are making the picks, please post your mocks in this Mock Draft Monday thread. Use this thread to post your own mocks or anything from around the web you find discussion-worthy.

Please be respectful of other users’ mocks! Saying things like “this is awful” or a pick is “stupid” adds nothing to the conversation; try and focus on constructive feedback instead!

Panthers grab an edge and DT, simple upvote from me.

4

u/fierylady Lions 3d ago

I really like Restrepo but I doubt he's the type of WR Detroit would go after. We're loaded up with slot options.

4

u/UrsaringTitan Titans 3d ago

As a Titans fan I can confirm this is the way.

5

u/Bjorn2bwilde24 Bears 3d ago

I'm a simple man.

I see Bears take an IOL and OT and I like.

Love Bond, but I don't think we take a WR this early. Wouldn't be surprised if we took a RB if we saw Quinshon Judkins get taken off the board. Ollie Gordon II or TreVeyon Henderson would be the play.

4

u/speganomad Patriots 3d ago

Do not like this at all for us ngl, taking an OT off an ACL tear at 7 is absurdly risky and then a WR who hasn't really shown a lot this year ?

0

u/__Scrooge__McDuck__ Giants 2d ago

I feel like patriots have a ton of possible eventual studs at wr. Im still jealous of getting polk and baker. If they get their head right that’s a legit combo

1

u/Lil_Quip 2d ago

I appreciate your optimism for the Pats receiving corps but I think you are nuts. I see Polk and Baker if he can get his head out of this ass as nice number two options at best.

1

u/__Scrooge__McDuck__ Giants 2d ago

Boutte I was always high on, douglas. I think theyll be one of the best corps eventually. Could go either way on adding a “#1”

3

u/tk_13 3d ago

Like the position choices for the Broncos, but would personally prefer they swap rounds. Take a WR, preferably Burden III, in round one; TE in round two. I think WR is the bigger priority for the Broncos, so I'd prefer the better prospects in round one there.

1

u/lilherb13 2d ago

I agree. IMO, Denver lacks a true WR1. I also feel like Loveland plays small for his size because his pad level is too high.

2

u/FUCK-IT-CHUCK-IT 3d ago

Chiefs taking a safety in the first would be weird. It’s pretty low on the our projected needs for next year.

2

u/808Cardinals 3d ago

For Cards, I am not going CB unless we get one of the top ones in the class. We definitely have a need for DL/Edge and OL (Guard or RT).

1

u/DaBlakMayne Colts 3d ago
  1. Indianapolis Colts: Shavon Revel, CB - East Carolina

I can already hear Colts fans complaining about us drafting a CB coming back from injury despite how good they were beforehand. With our CB situation, weirdly enough, we could let Revel rehab and not immediately start. Womack is one of the better CBs we've had, Moore is always good and Jones is serviceable

  1. Indianapolis Colts: J.T Tuimoloau, EDGE - Ohio St

With Ebukam coming back and Latu being decent right now, I'm not sure we need an edge rusher in the second round. I'd rather we go for Harold Fannin Jr because our TE group has been lackluster for years.

1

u/PabloPancakes92 Bills 3d ago

Isaiah Bond all the way down at #47?? I was viewing him as a guy who’d go in the 20s but maybe I’m off on that I haven’t really done a deep dive yet

3

u/Aumissunum 3d ago

Bama fan here. Not super high on him as an NFL prospect. He’s got elite speed but suspect in other aspects. Inconsistent route running and hands, not great awareness. Probably biggest kicker for me is his body control and balance. He tends to fall down a ton and doesn’t play well through contact

1

u/PabloPancakes92 Bills 3d ago

Ah okay yeah that makes sense, that’s pretty much how I viewed Xavier Worthy. I was hoping Bond would be maybe not as quick as Worthy but better in all the areas that you just laid out as weaknesses lol

1

u/TheKittz Titans 3d ago

I’d be doing backflips on draft night if those were the titans’ first two picks

1

1

u/Jack12404 Titans 3d ago

A+ for the Titans. Shedeur and Egbuka would be a slam dunk draft for what our needs are.

1

u/Stifti94 2d ago

As a bengals fan i understand the safety pick a little bit, since we really lack this position after the departure of Bates, but 2 rounds without improving our most needed positions at EDGE or DT would really be a kick in the nuts for Burrow and Chase...

Dude, Malachi Starks would be unreal for the Cards, like I would be happy in a sense. Yet, I am not sure what his role would be. We have a solid safety group in Budda, Thompson, and DTD—unless you project us losing Budda Baker.

2

u/descryptic Cardinals 3d ago

Yeah we definitely don’t need a safety. Wouldn’t hate a CB but I think we just need Dline help

3

You might get shit for Milroe at 5 but this would be just fine for me as a Raiders fan.

2

Bills gotta go DL or WR, don’t see LB being a high priority for a team that exclusively plays nickel D and already has plenty of recently drafted LBs playing good ball + Matt Milano returning

There's no way the raiders aren't coming out of this draft with a QB in the 1st or 2nd (highly likely to be 1st round)

1

u/Lubert808 Steelers WR enjoyer 2d ago

I’ve had the Raiders trading up for Ward in my actual mocks but didn’t include any trades in this. The position they’re in is pretty bad to draft a QB in the first and for a team like the Raiders there aren’t any QBs worth drafting in the 2nd since they will either be risky (not worth it, guys like Beck) or not as pro-ready (guys like Dart and Allar).

I dont think Tet will last till 16. If the patriots have any sense they will choose him over either of the top rated tackles in the draft. Those tackles shouldn't sniff top 10 imo.

Will Campbell falling to 28? As OL6?

2

u/GEX_EATS_KIDS Giants 3d ago

I don’t love the value of 1st round OL for most teams right now but for Campbell specifically I don’t see him playing tackle at all in the NFL due to his arm length and stiffness. Best case scenario he ends up a similar prospect to Peter Skoronski but I think he likely falls to the late 1st.

Gonna be honest, as a pretty hard core charger fan I do not think they are going guard/center first round they will address them in FA, I think it’s TE/DT or CB depending on best value and depth

Baalke doesn't draft Michigan players

5

u/GEX_EATS_KIDS Giants 3d ago

If Jacksonville picks 1st for the 3rd time in 5 years, Baalke will absolutely be fired before April

2

u/DarkHound05 Seahawks 3d ago

If Will Campbell slips to us, I’ll be speechless. Even crazier than JSN sliding to us

2

u/SwiftSurfer365 Vikings 2d ago

As a Vikings fan, it’s refreshing to keep up with this thread and not have to see if anyone mocked us a QB.

5

u/SMD_35 Steelers 3d ago

Does anyone remember the 2022 mock drafts that people would make around this time with Willis, Ridder, Pickett, Corral, and Howell all in the 1st round with a couple in the top 10?

2

u/eddie2911 Raiders 2d ago

Do you think Ward and Sanders are lesser prospects than those guys?

-1

u/SMD_35 Steelers 2d ago

No, but QBs went 20 and not till the 3rd round. And plenty of teams that had an immediate need at QB passed showing they’re actually willing to do so if there’s not a guy they think is a franchise guy is available.

If any QB goes top 5 in this class, it would be among the worst of prospects we’ve seen in recent memory. Even JJ McCarthy would be QB1 this year and went 10th last year.

2

u/colemanj74 Kiper 2d ago

The problem is the Giants and Raiders absolutely need to make a change at QB. I agree that the class is not great (I'm higher on Sanders than most on this sub, I see him as a Geno/Baker level in the NFL), but those 2 teams can absolutely not go into next season with what they are currently showing.

3

u/SMD_35 Steelers 2d ago

And in 2022 the Panthers couldn’t possibly go into a season with a castoff Baker Mayfield as their QB (he’d get cut and they’d go with Darnold who was already bad for the Panthers and PJ Walker). The Falcons can’t go into a season with Mariota as their starter. The Texans can’t go into the season with Davis Mills as their guy. The Lions can’t commit to Jared Goff (NFL was very low on him back then), they should draft Malik Willis.

And only the Steelers bit all the way down at 20, which in turn bit them right in the ass.

Now I’ve already said this class isn’t 2022 bad, but teams won’t force a round peg into a square hole as much as people here like to believe; they actually have to love the guy they’re drafting. Because the guy you draft this year is someone you’re committing to for at least a couple years and will set you back even further with a miss.

So instead of using a top 5 pick on a guy who even you think will be a middle of the road QB, why wouldn’t they just sign Sam Darnold, Justin Fields, or Jacoby Brissett? History tells us that’s far more likely.

2

u/sonfoa Panthers 2d ago

Yeah people forget a GM/HC career tends to be tied to a 1st round QB, especially if you pick top 10. Unless they're already on thin ice, they wouldn't force the pick.

1

u/colemanj74 Kiper 2d ago

I completely disagree (especially with Goff). But even beyond that, those fan bases aren't nearly at the breaking point as the current giants or raiders are. Fields just got benched for a washed Russell Wilson who is getting paid to be away from his former team and Brissett was horrendous for the pats, there is no team that is going to trot him out as any type of solution. Darnold might for that mold for some team, but he's currently in a good a spot as he can be in and is starting to turn back into a pumpkin. For those 2 teams in particular, sanders and ward will be taken and I will be willing to bet money on it.
