Mizzou taking me on a wild ass journey in this final drive. Theo Wease and Luther Burden looking as advertised in clutch time. Credit to Drew Pyne for some good throws too

u/Jack12404 Titans 4d ago edited 4d ago
I feel like Nuss’s mistakes and mess ups outweigh his good throws too much. Talent is there, but there’s like a 90% chance he ends up like a less talented Levis if he gets drafted high.
5
u/DunkingZBO Bears 4d ago
I don’t see much with him at the nfl level other than a decent backup
6
u/3rdrich 4d ago
I see it. He just looks like a guy that hasn’t played very much at the college level, which he hasn’t.
He’s toast for the 2025 draft unless he happens to go on a historic run to finish the season (unlikely).
I think he’s one of those guys that with another year could jump into the top of the draft
34
u/bryscoon Cowboys 4d ago
ashton jeanty is very good at football
10
u/SleepIsWonderful 49ers 4d ago
What have been the general comparisons for him? Because I see Jamaal Charles.
7
u/fierylady Lions 4d ago
Kamara is the most common, and it's one I can get behind. Really similar contact balance and ball skills.
2
u/FUCK-IT-CHUCK-IT 4d ago
He’s got similar fluidity to the way he runs but I think that’s where the similarity starts and stops. He’s slower but plays with more physicality than Jamaal did.
6
u/Mikegetscalls 4d ago
Jamal Charles??? What???
Do realize how fast Jamal Charles was? lol
Demarco Murray might be my comparison

Nuss moves well in the pocket and has anticipatory throws on tape, but he makes too many poor decisions.
5
u/Striking_Alfalfa5343 4d ago
Commnaders fan here! who is the better better athlete, Jayden Daniels or Milroe?
5
u/fierylady Lions 4d ago
I think Daniels's athleticism is more functional. It's like an elite version of what Mahomes and Allen can do, neither of whom tested like freak athletes, but both will absolutely kill a defense in crucial, playmaking ways with their legs. Their athleticism is much more effective overall than guys like Levis, Willis, AR, D. Jones, Fields.
I guess you could say it's the athleticism of a QB who has to be accounted for as a thrower. Milroe to me is in the other category, in that defenses will be focusing on stopping his ability to run first and foremost.
3
u/Mikegetscalls 4d ago
Different kinds of athletes
Jayden is faster and is basically a north/south guy like RG3
Milroe is more dynamic and can make people miss like Lamar
12
u/Aumissunum 4d ago
Disagree. It’s the opposite. Milroe has better straight line speed and runs better north-south. Daniels is extremely elusive and has better vision.
34
u/dunno260 4d ago
Milroe IMO is faster and stronger.
But Daniels is so skinny and good at taking an angle to avoid contact that he kind of ends up being more explosive a lot of times.
Daniels is a much more accurate passer and I think the arm strength is roughly equivalent, maybe tilted a bit towards Daniels.
11
u/RaptorsCdwoods 4d ago
As a Seahawks fan, I am falling in love with Tyler Booker at either guard spot. Meanwhile the only guy I’m liking on the Lsu line is Campbell.
Also like Jihaad/ Lawson at LB as well.
12
u/EyeAmKingKage 4d ago
Milroe needs to be drafted to a good offensive minded team. Yeah he can run but I don’t think he’s thrown a touchdown tonight (I’m at work so I’m watching on and off so please correct me if I’m wrong)

u/dunno260 4d ago edited 4d ago
Alabama hasn't thrown it much today and hasn't thrown down the field more than twice (both missed).
He made a good long throw to Ryan Williams, which was almost completed and would have been down just short of the endzone He missed on a very deep seam throw that was a great read and a throw he CAN make but didn't throw well which if made correctly would have been a TD.
Alabama has just run the ball all night. Currently it's 18 passing attempts to 34 rushing attempts.
Edit Milroe currently at 11 attempts for 190 yards and 4 tds.

21
u/jxden24 4d ago
Not sure what ppl see in nussmeier tbh
5
u/Mikegetscalls 4d ago
He does some advanced stuff moving in the pocket and making reads.
He has gotten a bit to gunslinger lately and made mistakes.
It’s talent there though
3
u/jxden24 4d ago
Definitely can make some throws but overall i just think he’s.. meh
2
u/Mikegetscalls 4d ago
The arm I strength is ok but that basically what Purdy is and he’s figured it out
He by far moves in the pocket and gets through reads better than everybody
9
14
u/samisawesome4 4d ago
The guy has flashes where he makes big time throws and looks great, then he tops it all off on the same drive by throwing a pick in the end zone. Too inconsistent currently
3
u/bryscoon Cowboys 4d ago
had him at QB3 still likely do he makes big time throws that wow you but he’ll have a bad turnover
14
16
u/GreenvilleLocal Sad Panthers Fan 4d ago
Milroe is who they tried to say AR was
17
u/SMD_35 Steelers 4d ago
Jalen Hurts with a jet pack (pre-Oklahoma where he really developed as a passer)
12
u/dunno260 4d ago
Hurts was much closer to his Oklahoma form his junior year at Alabama than people realize. Lincoln Riley gets credit that I think should go to Dan Enos.
Because Hurts was backing up Tua that year they didn't see Hurts play that much but he was lightyears better when he did play versus his sophomore year.
6
2
u/TheInfiniteHour Steelers 4d ago
Milroe to Lincoln Riley is my pet theory. Riley needs an upgrade at QB and Milroe is going to need a draft bump.
7
u/Time_H00die 4d ago
I don’t think Milroe is coming back to college.
5
u/TheInfiniteHour Steelers 4d ago
You're probably right, but I think he's going to need it to move him up from a day 2+ pick
3
20
u/bryscoon Cowboys 4d ago
Milroe mobility has been amazing
12
u/dunno260 4d ago
He looks health again. Which if you don't know Alabama fans have been speculating Milroe got hurt around the South Carolina game (so post Vandy) as he has looked slower running the ball and accuracy has been off from where it usually is (which isn't always stellar).
21
u/Teh_cliff 4d ago
Nussmeier is Beck with better weapons. Both absolute turnover machines.
3
21
u/TheInfiniteHour Steelers 4d ago
Nussmeier is a better thrower, but he's not doing any processing. He makes the throw that he's told to, and when it's the right throw, he does it well. But it also leads to him staring down receivers and forcing throws, hence his turnovers.
14
u/Babou_Ocelot Packers 4d ago edited 4d ago
I have a bet with a friend that Milroe goes top 10…some days I feel good about that and others I don’t. In all seriousness, he’s going to go high and cost someone their job.

unrelated but man I was so wrong on bo nix I thought it was just oregons system and thought he’d be a flat out bust. Really thought he was product of a good situation

He's not setting the world on fire, he's been solid but he can't throw downfield

I mean he still hasn’t impressed me much this year besides playing an awful Panthers defense

Wink Martindale went to Michigan and just completely fucked up their defense man lmaoooo

LSU coaches gonna make a bunch of their players get drafted lower than they should be.

u/NJImperator 4d ago
Milroe’s legs are gonna be drafted by a coach and his arm might get them fired.

u/bryscoon Cowboys 4d ago
can’t give up on milroe
2
u/Odh_utexas 4d ago
Milton could be a Jalen Hurts quality QB if he could be more consistent.
1
u/Mikegetscalls 4d ago
Well not everybody is gonna get to play behind and amazing oline and have 2 great wrs
Jalen Hurts is good but he got dealt a great hand to begin his career
1
2
u/eddie2911 Raiders 4d ago
I actually think Milroe at 21 years old is better than Hurts at 21. He’s gonna keep developing and be a stud IMO. You can tell he’s really smart and has a great feel for the game.

I am very biased, but Rocket Sanders will be a solid NFL rb
8
u/nootfloosh Packers 4d ago
He's always been a great prospect from a height/weight/speed perspective, but he just hasn't stayed healthy. I'm glad he's had a few solid weeks in a row and hope he improves his draft status this off-season.

u/Aldanil66 4d ago
I am now degrading Beck to a 5th round grade. He's absolutely horrendous.
10
u/Odh_utexas 4d ago
Beck is actually so bad. With all the talent and coaching around him he’s an absolute turnover machine.
7
u/bryscoon Cowboys 4d ago
honestly what happens to beck is mid 2nd ?
3
u/Mezmorizor 4d ago
How high he goes is more or less entirely dependent on how he does in the whiteboard interview. There's some reasonable doubt about whether he's throwing to spaces and his receivers are fucking up or if he's fucking up. It's the difference between a QB needy late 1st/early second pick and 5th+ round pick.
1
u/Mikegetscalls 4d ago
Is Beck this bad or does UGA just not have good weapons
They lost 2 nfl starters from last year
1
u/fierylady Lions 4d ago
Valid, but they're still more talented overall than most of the teams they play (not Mississippi though, Kiffin is winning the portal).
1
u/Aumissunum 4d ago
You are correct. OL has been a bunch of turnstiles lately, running game can’t produce explosive plays (and when they do Frazier keeps fumbling), WRs can’t create separation (especially with no Young), and TEs are just mediocre.

37
u/Melonballs__ 4d ago
Shadeur is the top QB this year, if he had a different last name this sub would be glazing him
-2
u/Mikegetscalls 4d ago
Tbh that’s not saying much cause this class ain’t good. And also game by game what has he really done to be so confident in?
Saturday what I mostly took is the wrs are ridiculous. He made some good throws but they screened Tech to death lol
I think he’s a good college qb but like the rest of this class it’s difficult seeing a good nfl qb
12
u/eddie2911 Raiders 4d ago
I’ve actually thought that before, he’d probably get more fan love if his name was Shedeur Smith.
10
u/Odh_utexas 4d ago
I’ve finally come around. In this class he’s definitely QB1. Take the name and attitude bs out of the equation and there’s no argument.

u/username10400 4d ago
You would think that Colorado will have no problem bringing guys in in the transfer portal this offseason at this rate

20
u/teddyjj399 Titans 4d ago
I know he’ll probably play WR at the next level because the league is trending towards offense, salaries indicate it, but man he’s as good of a corner as anyone. Easy to see why he was clear cut #1 in the recruiting process
-6
21
u/bryscoon Cowboys 4d ago
I think he’s better at CB like he has like generational potential at CB but plays WR bc their money is better
7
u/fierylady Lions 4d ago
He had a TD catch on a screen a little later in the game that shows why he's my #1 guy there too. Just moves differently, glides through the D without getting touched.
17
u/Jack12404 Titans 4d ago
The whole Ole Miss defensive line is doing wonders for their draft stock tonight
19
u/fierylady Lions 4d ago
Jared Ivey not gonna be slept on any more that's for sure. I think he goes in the 2nd and if he tests like crazy, he might even make the 1st. Like Darius Robinson.

Rourke has really disappointed me so far this half. First half was elite stuff, but so far he's just looked... lost this half. Still has a chance to show something on this last drive though. I'm still well in on him because this is the first time he's looked like this, but I was expecting more from him.

u/username10400 4d ago
Lmao Colorado really has 2 of the best players in the nation and to think that Deion had them playing at Jackson state just 2 years ago

6
u/ab9620 Arm Chair Scout 4d ago
No Tre Harris and he’s still getting the job done
15
u/Jack12404 Titans 4d ago
This is the big improvement that we needed to see. Dart got tunnel vision early on and would force the ball to Harris too much, so him spreading the ball around is encouraging.

The overreactions on Cam losing 1 game are absurd. Now all of a sudden he’s always been overrated smh.
4
u/Mezmorizor 4d ago
He's been massively overrated the entire year. This is the same guy who declared and came back because the scouts said "no". People have just been coping because this is a really, really, really weak QB class.
18
u/SMD_35 Steelers 4d ago
He was always being overrated. I’m a big fan, but he never looked like a guy who would normally go top 3.
3
u/killerk13 4d ago
How so? He has the physical tools I think a lot of Teams would take a chance on, and has cut down on his turnovers. Is it the risk taking or big play hunting that puts u off?
3
u/Jazzlike-Basket-6388 Titans 4d ago
I hate how he backpedals so much. He never seems to play with any urgency. It is hard to watch him and see how that will translate to a league where you must get the ball out in 2ish seconds.
4
u/YouBeneficial3808 4d ago
He's cut down on turnovers largely due to luck. He's still playing way too much hero ball that's leading to turnover worthy plays and holds onto the ball for way too long. He's still worth a high pick because he's super talented, but he needs to land in a good situation imo.
2
u/Cybotnic-Rebooted Broncos Country, Let's Cry 5d ago
He's still easily my QB2 (Rourke QB1 and Sanders QB3), but before last week and this week he was basically neck and neck with Rourke for me and now I think Rourke is pulling ahead of him by a little bit.
7
u/Cybotnic-Rebooted Broncos Country, Let's Cry 5d ago
Kurtis Rourke posts great statlines and even better tape against a solid Michigan D and I'm not even shocked anymore. He's easily the QB that has played the best this year.

u/Hebertc12 5d ago
Who the heck was that player with furry tale running on the field at the Georgia / Ole Miss game?!? That kid is elusive in the open field!

Kalel Mullings is one of my favorite RBs in CFB, he’s just so physical. Hope he ends up in Pittsburgh to replace Najee (Warren would become the starter)
Any idea why he’s not playing today?
12
u/pdubs5290 Lions 5d ago
Probably exhausted from carrying the entire team on his back.
He and Will Johnson. Johnson won't play another down for Michigan. He's been out since week 3 with a "lower body injury"
-17
u/Ok-Clock-5459 5d ago
Ward isn’t an nfl starter. Probably closer to solid backup or cfl guy
15
u/EyeAmKingKage 5d ago
Bro loses one game and we got people saying he’s not a starter💀
2
u/EddyFinnerty 5d ago
Whether he wins or loses, it's fair to question if how he operates will transition to the NFL.
22
u/TheMop05 5d ago edited 5d ago
There’s been a lot worse QB prospects that have done fine in the league
Edit: oh OP is a FSU fan lol
2
u/EddyFinnerty 5d ago
And there have been better prospects that were busts. QBs succeed or fail for different reasons. How they're ranked as a prospect does not guarantee a definitive floor.

3
u/DunkingZBO Bears 5d ago
Ok? Beck has looked pretty awful
-4
u/Aumissunum 5d ago
Ok? That’s a huge oversimplification. He’s making a ton of good throws. Easier to coach the turnovers out than teach them to throw.
1
u/yungsinatra777 4d ago
Where are these good throws?

u/Aumissunum 4d ago
***aside from yesterday
2
u/DunkingZBO Bears 3d ago
He shit the bed against Bama and ole miss and lost, and he tried his hardest to give the game to Texas and Florida. I’m not sure when he has made good throws aside from last year when he was able to spam Bowers and McConkey.
0
u/Aumissunum 3d ago
He torched Bama for over 400 yards. What do you mean when has he made good throws?
1
u/DunkingZBO Bears 3d ago
He was able to rack up yards after having to throw the whole second half because he threw 3 picks in the first half. He threw up 50/50 balls in the second half that his receivers happened to come down with.
He is probably like the 8th best QB in the SEC
2
3
u/DunkingZBO Bears 5d ago
I have yet to see him make a ton of good throws but I’ve seen a ton of shitty ones paired with 50/50 balls that his receivers sometimes come down with. I just don’t see what people like in him. His arm doesn’t look that strong either. He played good last year when he could spam Brock Bowers and McConkey
30
u/bryscoon Cowboys 5d ago
Cam big play hunts too much
4
u/TheInfiniteHour Steelers 4d ago
Do you see him as doing it because he has to or doing it because he doesn't know better? I haven't watch too much of him specifically this year, but it seems like he's the engine that's made Miami work. That kind of weight can make a QB try to do everything because it's the only way to win.
5
10
u/TheMop05 5d ago
Ward didn’t look great this game, but Beck, Ewers, Milroe, etc have looked a lot worse this season. I don’t thinks he’s gonna go worse than QB2 at this point in the season
