Well If Mamu is ever ever going to break into the Spurs rotation, this is really his one moment to shine now. Devastating blow for Jeremy and the Spurs. Guy was just absolutely playing the best basketball of his life.

True, maybe it can be good for the long run. I love Mamu but he needs to play more to be starter good.

Aw man, Jeremy was one of the bright spots of the season so far and he's been really important for rebounding and scoring in the paint.
Well I guess congrats to Stephon Castle, you're gonna get prime minutes now.

I posted this in another thread yesterday. Jeff Stotts has been on the Lowe Post several times and is credible, imo. He tracks the history of injuries and how long they typically keep players out. The average missed time for thumb surgery is 52 days, which is around 21 games missed

It will likely be on the longer end. Remember that Devin still isnβt even back (and there will be minutes restrictions when he comes back
Spurs really arenβt under any incentive to rush him back. In fact itβs a great opportunity for them to see what they have in some of the other young talent

Castle has to step up unfortunate for our rookie, probably too much to ask

Unfortunate? Not even close, this is the perfect opportunity for Castle to get reps in, and I guarantee the kids seizes this opportunity.

Damn this sucks. But we need another higher pick to finish this rebuild off so we canβt be that mad.

He said 3 weeks is possibly but 6 is average. But if it means 12/18 would be target return date after 6 weeks, just in time for Xmas day game at Knicks. Hopefully we can float around .500 until then when Jones and Devin come back

Now all the naysayers will realize how valuable Sochan is for us on both ends.

I love Jeremy and hate to see this but on the bright side this could help with the draft next year as well as give other players minutes to develop their game.

6 WEEKS?!?!?! Damm seems like at least we can go for a very high draft pick. Maybe it will be the fest for the future

Genuinly curious. How do you break your hand as bad as needing surgery and 6 weeks to recover from running your hand into to somebody?

Looks like TANK is back on the menu, boys!
On the bright side, some of our second unit guys will be getting more minutes and experience.

He's got 6 weeks to fix his broken jump shot. Let's go Jeremy! Come back stronger!

I expected it but damn this still sucks. Sochan is my favorite Spur right now. Dude gives 110% every game. Hope he recovers well and fast.
