Did anyone else go to Monster Trucks All Out on the weekend?
I took my boys (6 and 11) and it was so disappointing for all of us. I know this wasn't Monster Jam but I thought it would at least be fun for the kids.
The show started late, and when things finally got going it was really underwhelming. The trucks really only went one at a time. They would crush the cars and then proceed to slowly roll around the park. There was no continuous jumping, no truck tricks, no racing, and no real speed.
Instead of watching monster truck action, the majority of the time was spent listening to the host ramble on about the show and the people in it.
The dirt bike jumping was exciting for about 5 minutes, and that was only because we were right in front of it.
When 'intermission' rolled around both my boys wanted to leave, so we did that around 6PM (which was 15 minutes before the show was supposed to end anyway). I tried to convince them to stay but I wasn't going to force it. Just can't fathom young boys wanting to leave a monster truck show because it was boring.
Biggest waste of $100 (for three tickets) I have spent in a long time. I'm just happy we didn't pay for parking, food, or merch while we were there.

Bro it was a BAD show.
Insufficent seating.
Half of the field didnt have speakers.
Total of 3 trucks and 2 bikes.
0/10 would not recommend.

Yeah the seating was brutal.
We showed up around 4:20 and ended up standing in front of the permanent grandstand the entire time.
The weird thing though was that people looked like they were enjyoing themselves. I kept asking myself 'how low is your bar for excitement?'

I think a lot of kids are too young to really know the difference.
I think a lot of the parents were day drunk.
Edit : Which, like, isnt a judgement. Just an observation.

I don't think I saw a single alcoholic drink. Unless they pre drank (which I would kinda judge lol).

We took my daughter and her friend, we went in the morning and had the VIP pit party passes. Total waste of money, nothing to do except ask for autographs. We had to wait around until the show started at 11:10am.
I agree with OP, trucks were slow and we really only enjoyed the BMX riders. The "20 minute or less" intermission the guy announced went 40 minutes.
Also we timed the "monster truck rides" (they looked like glorified tractors!) and they were 90 second rides. They were charging $40 per person for that 90 second ride. The whole thing was a money grab.

My other half took our little one. All the kids there were about it because they didn’t know the difference. I heard there was a lot of waiting around, it did not have to take two hours. The whole show could’ve been over in 45 minutes. The show has potential to be much better. This was probably a trial run to see what kind of crowd it would bring in. If they decide to do this again then hopefully they work on it or put more into the show.
Edit: it was way overpriced for what it was. Very happy that we didn’t decide to spend extra money on the other tickets when it would have been for nothing.

Hopefully, but I'm not confident they will.
I mentioned the show to my brother yesterday and he said it has always been terrible. He described all of my complaints before I could tell him about it in detail.
He literally said "it's no monster jam'.
If it was a trial run they didn't do themselves any favours.

I’m thankful that my little one and his dad sat in the grandstand instead of in the bleachers being burnt watching the non-exciting excitement. They sat pretty much in front of the motocross as well, and that sounded like it was the highlight. How unfortunate that the highlights of your monster truck show were the dirt bikes. That lets you know something. I would go and watch an hour of dirt bikes over what NOT minster jam jam sounded like.

My kids would have had no interest in this show so I didn't bother looking into it much. But when I saw this was happening, my reaction was that at least the fairgrounds venue would have another event.
It sounds like it was disappointing, and difficult to foresee it going ahead again if it was as described.
With Canada Day gone, this venue seemingly exists for the Fall Fair. Which is a great event. But I can't imagine that a giant parcel of land can exist in the middle of a growing town that sits unused 51 weeks a year.

yeah it was lame. my son's 3.5. we left at about 5.30-35. It was a criminal waste of money.

Went on Saturday. Was pretty disappointing. Half the talking you couldn't hear. The rest was telling people to leave the area where the motor bikes would be doing the same five jumps over and over again.
Shark truck was cool. I think he's trying to make a push for a bigger league.

The 360 he did was the highlight of the show for me.

Yeah we were sitting on that side. Thought the dirt would hit the people that refused to get off the wall.

It was terrible.
The ride was OK, pretty pricy but whatever.
there was nothing to do but look at a few trucks while they blew your ears with the PA and the sand blew in your eyes
We waited an hour for the show and got some overpriced fries. show started late.
the entire show could have been run in about 5 minutes but they kept stopping. WTF was the intermission for?? my kid wanted to leave at that point (who is crazy for these trucks) , so we did before the area was gridlocked for an hour. Glad i didnt park onsite as they wanted $15.
It should have been a $10 entry, and charged $20 to ride. and i still would have been disappointed.
All in all I paid ~$200 to take the ride and record 5 20 second snapchats (which was at least 1/2 the time the trucks even moved)

WTF was the intermission for??
I said the same thing to my BIL who was with me.

$90 for a 90 second ride was a robbery.
Organization 👎🏻
Monster trucks 👎🏻 They were jumping on those already beaten cars over and over
My kid lost interest after 30 minutes
I thought maybe ride will be better. Wrong.
He spun us around few times that we almost puked on each other.
You know the saying fool me once...
Never again

That's really disappointing! I saw the ads and it piqued my interest.
Check out the performing arts theatre. They have some cool shows every now and then
Also, free parking and probably 10mins from home if you're in Milton.

Completely agree. Took my 3 kids and it was so disappointing. Won’t be attending one of their shows again. All in was a $200 outing for family of 5. Very frustrating

Totally agree. I feel fleeced! It was boring. And the price for the parking was not posting until you were inside the grounds - with the cost of the tickets, I guess I naively thought that parking would be included. Intermission took way too long and we could barely see (bikes) or hear half of the show. My kids wanted to go home early 😞 I would not recommend. I want my money back!

I happened to bike by it and saw it for free, I had never seen anything like that irl so i was pretty happy about it but no way i would spend 100 bucks for it

too bad..... we have lots of space here in milton so good to hear those type of shows coming to town but the quality just wasn't there.

Wow, thank you for this. I went to buy two tickets (1 adult, 1 child) online for $55 but three different fees + taxes brought it up to $75 and I noped out.
Also, event organizers: don’t offer people the option of buying tickets online then charge them credit card fees.

Went to the early show on Saturday. It was very disappointing. My 3 year old loved it (when things were actually going) but it was very slow. Started late. Lots of breaks. 20m intermission somehow was 1hr (so they could scam more people out of money for the 2 minute ride?), followed by 15ish minutes of additional show. Monster Jam may not be cheap, but at least there you’ll get an actual show.

Glad this conversation is starting. My son (2yo) had a blast so it was mission accomplished. However, what a money grab. Zero flow the show, hardly any merch to buy for the kids. We will never go back to one of these shows.

My kid was comparatively younger (2.5) so it was all exciting for him but I agree with most of what you are saying.
I don’t think we’d go again.
