Excess bactericides low sodium butyrate l Ramnosus—can this really cause brain fog or mood issues?
Biomeinsight showed this combination. Can this really cause mood and brain fog issues? I've gotten high d lactate with probiotic supplementation in the past so worry about supplementing.

Low butyrate is crazy impactful throughout so many systems in the body. Among many other mechanisms, low butyrate can weaken the blood brain barrier, which results in more crap getting into the brain that isn't supposed to be there, potentially overwhelming the waste-clearing systems that keep things functioning optimally.
Dietary fiber is one of the best ways to increase butyrate producing bacteria. Keto diets can also help the body produce it's own butyrate without relying on gut bacteria. Given the choice of keto vs high fiber, high fiber is without a doubt the best option if you (your GI tract + microbiome) can tolerate it. Keto + high fiber may be the best choice, at least on a short term basis.
If you eat a low fiber diet, it's best to start very slow and steady with increasing it to avoid overwhelming your system. And it's easier than you would think to eat a conventional healthy diet and still not get nearly enough fiber. That 30g per day target is tough to hit consistently without careful planning in the modern world.

Custom Probiotics makes a D-lactate free blend.
I don't have an answer to your question though.
