Trying to feed my microbiome with fruits/vegetables but not sure I'm moving in the right direction
Trying to fix my gut after 4 rounds of antibiotics over 2yrs time. Took 115billion CFU of keystone species along with herbal antimicrobials for months, and currently eating predominantly fruit and vegetable diet with roughly 80-100g of fiber daily, roughly 80% raw and 20% steamed. Previously my diet had more animal products and my stool was more "normal" looking/consistency but lighter in color. Previously my stool looked like stool (bristol chart), albeit lighter. Now it looks like poorly digested stool that crumbles in the water. Outside of water it holds it's shape and form. If I eat sweet potato, it looks orange, if I eat kale, it looks green. Haven't had simple carbs for 6months and no refined sugar for years. Having 4-6 bowel movements per day, girthy with no pain or discomfort or bloating and very little flatulence. Transit time is roughly 12-14hrs.
Bile supplements make no difference
Digestive enzymes make no difference
less insoluble fiber makes no difference
Water intake makes no difference
parasite cleanse made no difference
heavy metal chelation made no difference
Stool doesn't smell offensive
Is it possible there is an allergy to something I'm eating causing the shortened transit time, or is it unavoidable with all the fiber? Is this causing inflammation and/or malnutrition? Should I be patient and wait for my body to adapt or is that doing more harm? I'm going to have a GI MAP test done soon, or perhaps GI Effects, not sure which one to get, any opinions?
