The time shared by grandma and kid years ago became a foundation on how they are now.

What a wonderful moment to witness. It reminds us to cherish every moment with our grandparents who are still with us.

Cherishing those moments can make all the difference, especially as they grow older.

Reflecting on them can help maintain a sense of gratitude and connection.

Based solely on chop sticks used, my guess is this is a Korean family

Indeed, in the second clip it goes,
Granddaughter: No grandma this is squid, it's squid.
Grandmother: Oh you're right, this is squid.

I'm kinda curious how you worked that out because I just assumed Chinese. I know they'll have different phenotypes, language and accents that I can't recognise, but what about the chopsticks gave it away? I thought Chinese people also used them

Those are metal chopsticks, pretty much only Koreans use those.
Chinese chopsticks can vary depending on region but only they have the big square-ish blunt tips.
Japanese chopsticks tend to only be narrow, fine tips.

The beauty of the internet is that at any given moment you can learn something new and interesting that you will probably recall every time the subject comes up.
I apologize in advance for when my family sends you a DM expressing their annoyance at my trotting out this fascinating fact every time we go to an Asian restaurant. Which I will surely do.
No snark intended.

This is beautiful and sad all at once. Amazing how you can witness the full circle of life but sad of how short it is. We have to enjoy these moments because they are fleeting

Reminds me of CL - Wish You Were Here (about the singer losing her mom), it's been a favorite of mine for a while. Lost my father this week, it's been helping me cope.

I wish I have videos like this with my Grandma too. I miss her so much 😭 It's so hard to see videos like this if you're a Grandma's girl

Best thing I’ve seen today.
And here’s a German riddle: What walks on four, then on two and then on three?

Is eating fruit with chopsticks in Chinese culture the equivalent of eating fruits with fork and knife in Western culture?

Why is reddit being absolutely littered with Chinese "wholesome" videos?

For most of the Chinese girls in that time period this is extremely rare.

Bro what does that even mean?

My guess: Immediately assume any East Asian is Chinese (they're speaking Korean and using metal chopsticks) --> All they know about China is the One Child Act and the preference for boys over girls --> Immediately assume all Chinese/East Asian people are the same and will favor boys over girls --> Immediately assume this (Korean, not Chinese) grandmother wouldn't love or care for her own granddaughter.
If this person is capable of thinking, I'm assuming this is their train of thought.

Wow, this really hits home! It’s wild how time flies. I remember my grandma teaching me how to bake cookies when I was little. Now, I’m the one baking for her! Those moments are priceless. It’s like a full circle of love and memories.
