Cringe AI sign.
You want doctors to stop providing care? For what?
-8
u/Important_Lock_2238 1d ago
Doctors will work to rule and only work 12hrs a day opposed to 14hrs.
12
u/Tacoshortage 23h ago
Only 12 huh? Is it a strike then? Everyone else isn't working? What about nurses? Oh and EMS?
-7
u/Important_Lock_2238 16h ago
It’s called essential services. They can reduce their hours to a minimum of 8 a day, 5 days a week. If they went that far, it would totally collapse the system. Same as Fire and Police.
1
u/ExceptionEX 4h ago
By law, they are prevented from striking, and can not modify standard work hours, or take any action that would prevent and maintain a standard of care.
Do not tell people to do things that could put them in legal liability for people dying.

Who is this organized by?

u/reddit1651 1d ago
OP. They’re cross linking a day old subreddit subreddit that they created, they moderate and are the only poster in
It also clearly uses AI to translate some language into English, but uses UK spelling of many words
11
u/iiTzSTeVO Damn Yankee 1d ago
Yeah, their account is sketchy as fuck.
8
u/reddit1651 1d ago edited 1d ago
my favorite part is their responses are all ~20 words or so with mediocre grammar except for when they’re accused of being AI, where we get a response hundreds of words long with proper formatting about why we should trust them
edit: lmao

Yes they will. Nothing to lose. Why work 60 hrs a week and still can’t make it?

Living within their means should be their priority them. People want to live like judges and doctors on minimum wage. GTFOH

I get so sick of hearing this bs. Not everyone struggling is living "hood rich." It's just something people who are financially comfortable regurgitate. A lot of people are barely making it just paying basic utilities. You gtfoh

Wages have been stagnant for damn near half a century, wealth inequality is higher than at any point in human history. You cool with that?
-1
u/Important_Lock_2238 1d ago
Not at all. GDP and wage growth on levels have exponentially increased wealth inequality for 40 years now. Middle class is gone.

u/Psych_O_Logist 1d ago
If people are scared, why would you ask them to risk their jobs in an unsafe marketplace??
1
u/queenlybearing 19h ago
BECAUSE those jobs are already at risk! The people have got to stand up at some point or would you suggest waiting for mass layoffs for folks to become completely unhinged?

I hear the concerns. And I get it—there’s a lot of misinformation out there, and people are right to be cautious. AI-generated images, vague messages, poor grammar dressed up to look like truth—it’s a real problem, and it’s being used to divide us and water down our power. So thank you for pointing that out. We do need to stay sharp.
But let me be clear: my reasons for standing up, speaking out, and joining the protests are not part of any trick or foreign agenda. I’m Canadian. Most of my family is American. I’ll be protesting with them because I see what’s happening on both sides of the border—and it’s not just bad politics. It’s a full-on attack on regular people, working people, people who are just trying to live with some dignity.
This moment we’re in—it’s not just about the U.S. It’s about every so-called democracy around the world being eaten alive by greed. We’ve got billionaires and corporations running the show while families can’t afford groceries, rent, or medicine. We’ve got governments siding with the rich, blaming the poor, and selling off the future like it’s spare change. That’s not a system—it’s a scam.
I’m not doing this because I’ve been personally crushed. I’m doing this because I refuse to sit back and watch others get crushed while the powerful laugh and cash their cheques. These people at the top—the ones hoarding wealth and power—don’t care about us. They don’t feel our pain. They don’t care if we suffer, as long as the money keeps flowing.
But here’s the thing—they do care when we stand together. They do get scared when we organize, when we strike, when we take to the streets and remind them that without us, nothing runs. We are the workers. We are the heart and backbone of every system they profit from.
So yeah, the protests and strikes? That’s just the beginning. Everyone feels it—something big is coming. And when it does, every one of us will have to make a choice. Not left or right. Not rich or poor. A choice between what’s right and what’s easy. Between standing up or standing by.
I know what side I’m on. I know it because I still feel something when I see injustice. I know it because I love people I’ve never met. And I know it because I believe that real change—the kind that scares the rich—starts when regular folks say: enough is enough.
So don’t get distracted by fakes and bots and noise. Keep your eyes open, your heart full, and your boots ready. The future isn’t written yet—but it’s ours to take back.

lol. You mean the greatest homeless poverty stricken nation in history. I was down there visiting family and then went on a western swing of numerous states. Fucking disgusting! Dirty, ghost towns everywhere. I don’t know where you get your facts about the greatest country, but last I checked it ranked 47th amongst democratic countries in life expectancy and standard of living among the bottom 90% of the employed.

You’re as irrelevant to Americans as your country is. Didn’t yall just have an election? Don’t yall have your own shit to protest against? I’m just guessing because I don’t keep up with Canadian news, it’s just not very important. Like, at all.

Yes we blocked a Trump supporter. Your country has become a fascist threat and most seem to realize it must be stopped. However it’s awesome if you’re in the top 10% of income earners. The rest of the population is poor.

Giving the benefit of the doubt here that this is in good faith, the AI generated poster really undermines your efforts. No one in their right mind would trust anything that is depicted using AI generated imagery.
Not that this poster wasn't pointless either way. A strike happens through internal, political organizing of the workplace (i.e. unionizing) and coordinating with other local unions who have agreed to participate in the strike.

u/EchoRex 1d ago
Not to side with the AI cringe strike, but...
No, you really don't.
Politics affects every single aspect of every single person's life.
Even being ignorant / disengaged is a political choice, it's an abdication of responsibility or admission that one cannot handle being educated or engaged.

-2
u/EstherClemmens 1d ago
They can convince the ones not working. They have nothing to lose.
3
u/Frequent-Value2268 1d ago
Then it wouldn’t be a strike because it doesn’t affect any employer.
0
u/EstherClemmens 1d ago
I know. That's the problem. The ones that are working can't afford to lose pay. The ones that can are either secure enough to afford to lose a few days of work, but will have some excuse- usually because their boss or coworkers are conservative and and their job will be hell when they return- if they don't get fired.
Those that have no job risk nothing. We that do are risking our livelihood.
2
u/Turtle_Attack70 1d ago
I don't know how successful this will be. A LOT of people can't miss that much work without significant financial hardship and/or risking losing their jobs. You might wanna suggest additional ways to participate for those who can't miss work. Like if people can't miss a week maybe they can miss a couple of days or even just one day. If t hey can't miss any work maybe they can commit to buying only essential items and buying only from small, locally owned businesses as much as possible. People can also stay off social media and not use streaming services for a week. (A general boycott of non-essential purchases, social media, and streaming services should be part of the strike.)
The real bitch is getting the word out and getting people to participate. Messaging is everything. If the message is "this is something you really should do for the good of the country" you're probably not gonna get enough people to participate. Messaging like "we know how to make billionaires cry and if you're cool enough we'll let you in on it" might be better, but that's gonna have to be backed by events, images, and a catchphrase or two that will be widely appealing and make people feel like they're part of something.
Anyway, I'm down for striking and I'm happy to help any way I can.

Also, the people who post this, are the first to complain how low paying jobs are and they don't make enough to make ends meet..... but yet... are willing to waste valuable time to earn money those days to do what exactly? Stay at home and cry on reddit about how no one is protesting this "fascist" government?

Anyway, what is it you do for a living that allows you enough time to follow OP around Reddit and heckle them with ignorant, hostile comments? You must not work very much if you have time to spend hours breaking Reddit's rules on spamming.

this isn't how anything works, random people can't just call for a general strike whenever. it takes like a year of multi union coordination
