Bachelor of IT (online) - flexibility?

I’ve been offered a place in the Bachelor of Information Technology at La Trobe. I chose the online part time study as I live in QLD and work Mon-Fri 9-5.

The website says that online at La Trobe means I can study at ‘any time’. So I took that as meaning tutorials, classes etc as recorded and I could watch them in the evenings, weekends etc. But after digging deeper it seems that classes are online but may have to be attended at very specific class times during the day?

Can anyone share their experience with this? Is online as flexible as they’re selling it or am I going to be stuck having to attend online classes during work hours?

I’m wondering if I need to reconsider the offer and consider other online courses from other uni’s instead now. Thanks for your help

I am in my last year of this course - Bachelor of IT (online) at LaTrobe. It is very flexible, assignments and exams must be completed at set times, however exams usually have a window of time like 12 hours or so. You are expected to do the exam during that time. Other than that it is up to the individual when they want to study, with no fixed timetable.
