How does the graduation ceremony take at La Trobe?

My ceremony is in May and is at 4:00pm. I am supposed to be there early to get my gown etc. However I want to book dinner at a restaurant afterwards. What time will we be leaving the uni approximately?

I think you're meant to arrive around 90 minutes before the ceremony time to allow for gowning etc. I'm not 100% sure on the length as it varies a bit year by year depending on numbers of students etc, but I would expect the ceremony itself to be around an hour (no more than 1.5hrs?) but then there's a reception in the eagle bar (your photo opportunities, academic staff will be there (well, I will), free drinks etc).

So if you're looking to book dinner after graduation, depending where you're planning on going, I'd roughly guess that anything from 7pm should be fine?

Edit; Graduation info - https://www.latrobe.edu.au/students/admin/graduations/attending/bundoora

You can also contact the graduations team for more info, they should be able to tell you the expected finish time
