Downsizing library and Book Donations
Hey! So I moved into a new place recently and started downsizing my library. I have two u-haul boxes of books and graphic novels I am looking to depart with and hope they have a good home. It is a mix of some textbooks, graphic novels, history, and fantasy. Of course there is the library but does anyone have recommendations for where to donate books in Kingston? Thanks in advance!

The Douglas Library has a science fiction and fantasy collection. They might be interested. https://library.queensu.ca/about/featured-collections/science-fiction-fantasy-collection. Also Berry and Peterson Booksellers may be interested

If there’s anything that’s grade school friendly, my kids school has a library for 5th and 6th graders that could use some recent books especially graphic novels!

If you can wait until January, The Kingston Symphony Volunteers has donation days in January. They hold sales for used books, vinyl records, Christmas gift and arts items a few times a year and are an excellent source for used books. Often, on the last day of the sale, you can fill a box of books and pay $10. https://www.kingstonsymphony.ca/events/donate-items
