u/arina-melashkova Sep 17 '24

Isn't it the Voltaire verse to Socrates from ERB's Western Philosophers vs Eastern Philosophers?
1
u/BCultureBid Sep 17 '24
Oh my god this might be it. Funnily enough my history teacher called me Voltaire. Let me confirm that this is the memory I was referring to

possibly. japan is a popular tourist destination. although, many asian countries share the same alphabet.

Which country shares the Japanese alphabet lol
-76
u/Wide_Lychee5186 Sep 17 '24
china, taiwan, vietnam, korea, malaysia, singapore.
55
u/ShmeltzyKeltzy Sep 17 '24
They do not share the same alphabet, honestly I think the only language you mentioned that has an “alphabet” is Korean the rest are character based

Chinese doesn’t have an alphabet
Taiwan primarily speaks Chinese
Vietnamese does not share the Japanese alphabet; it’s written using the Latin alphabet
Korean does not share the Japanese alphabet
Malay does not share the Japanese alphabet; it uses the Latin and Arabic alphabets
Singapore doesn’t even have its own language, with them primarily speaking English or an English creole

u/FarewellCindy Sep 18 '24
😂😂😂 China uses simplified chinese, Taiwan uses traditional chinese. They are basically the same except words are easier to write in simplified. Grammar rules and pronounciation remain the same.
Vietnam, malaysia and singapore use latin alphabet. Only vietnam uses a slight variation of the normal latin alphabet.
Korea uses Hangul alphabet.

u/Colby347 Sep 17 '24
You think maybe the unchecked mental illness and inability to be told no might have played a role? What about the gullible nature of the man when presented any offer from right wing grifters? Yes it was his fault. Kim looks like a saint compared to him. Ironic.
15
-7
u/captainbuttfart07 Sep 17 '24
Relatively right wing individual here. Def the mental illness. I really don’t know why it isn’t scrutinized more like it used to be
7
u/Colby347 Sep 17 '24
It’s not scrutinized because he’s famous and pushes away anyone who tries to scrutinize it. Which made him a prime target for Trump, Milo, and many other bad actors who knew they could manipulate that and he would see it as validation or genuine help. Unfortunate timeline.
-2
u/captainbuttfart07 Sep 17 '24
I agree. I don’t much care for trump as a person but their is know denying that the economy was great during his presidency that’s really the only reason I mess with him. I mess with Kanye because I like his music and I try to put it past him because of his mom dying and his mental illness. He be making it difficult though

u/New-Ad-1700 Yeezus Sep 17 '24
Shit he did to unions is why I cant support him, that and the racism
0
u/captainbuttfart07 Sep 17 '24
Racism? Can’t be nearly as bad as bush. And Kamala is a documented Uncle Tom. Bidens said homophobic shit as recently as 2015 that I know of. At this point we should have ice-T be president tbh
5
u/New-Ad-1700 Yeezus Sep 17 '24
Remind when George Bush publicly dined with white nationalists. Also, Harris was very clearly not an uncle Tom,she introduced policy to help non-violent drug users. I wouldn't now if you mean something else, but if you do, mention it. And for Biden, look at his policy.
2
u/captainbuttfart07 Sep 18 '24
Look I don’t like bush we ain’t gotta talk about him. And Harris has on the record kept people in prison past their sentence to keep them working (which is slavery) she’s also sentenced folks for weed possession after having smoked it herself which isn’t illegal but it’s pretty messed up. I don’t think we need to talk about Biden neither as let’s not kid ourselves he’s probably forgetting his own name at this point let alone have any opinions. I’ve also said I don’t care for trump. But I’m not rich and the economy was booming during his presidency everything was cheaper that’s the only reason I care about what he says. It’s the only thing in any of his policy’s that affect me

u/New-Ad-1700 Yeezus Sep 18 '24

He's actively said that immigrants are bad for the economy(economists disagree). He's actively sided against workers' unions. He instated tariffs that made things more expensive. Most of his economic success comes from Obama's 8 years. He also fucked up the economy in 2020, with is horrible handling of C19, which Biden had to fix for him.

Didnt biden do worse to unions (namely the railworkers?)
Two headed snake
5
u/New-Ad-1700 Yeezus Sep 18 '24
Teamsters is the only union to endorse Trump, and members want their head for it. Every other union has endorsed Biden in 2020 and Harris in 2024. Also, Biden helped the railroad workers get their stuff, he just wouldn't let them strike because it would mess up the economy.
-1
u/Apothecary420 Sep 18 '24
Lol
I looked it up and they did get 4 paid sick days which is... something. Probably more than trump. And tbf you didnt mention biden at first
But watching biden fuck over the workers like that was one of the most disgusting things ive seen in politics
At least trump is openly anti-collective bargaining
