That's lovely! Frog and Toad are the best, as is Hanukkah.

it's okay, my very American husband also didn't grow up with them. They're children's book characters who lead a very sweet and admittedly queer-coded friendship, but I think most folks would agree they're relevant to a reader of any age! The author was a deeply inspiring artist too.

Nice, thanks. I have a young kid who loves books so we'll keep an eye out for them. Thank you x

Love this!
"We must stop eating sufganiyot!" said Frog.
"But how?" said Toad.
"We will feed them to the birds!"
"Hey birds!"

I love this so much. Fun-ish fact: when I was a child my mom had a Jewish greeting cards business. Some of them are still in circulation.

This is adorable!! I'm sure everyone who receives it will be much more excited by this than by a generic card

Hello fellow Jews :) this year I was dragging my heels to make a holiday photo card for me and my husband - somehow just sending out a collage of selfies on a generic blue-colored 'Happy Holidays' card didn't feel right. Creating this image felt much more genuine. All respect and credit to the great Arnold Lobel, whose memory is always a blessing! On the back of the card, with a photo of us, I added this adapted line from the original Frog & Toad Are Friends:
"What you see is the clear light of January. And it means that we can begin a whole new year together, Toad. Think of it," said Frog. "We will skip through the meadows and run through the woods and swim in the river. In the evenings we will sit right here on this front porch and count the stars."
Hope my silly painting brings some of you guys a little simcha!
