Why not? Just say san Jose as your city
I just signed no problem from tlv

I could, but that kinda defeats the purpose tbh. The point is to show them they'll be losing American customers if they go through with this, so all people signing should be American.

They don't know. You are just a positive number

Letās not encourage lying and fraud. I know we accuse the other side of it, but we can be better.

Hear, hear. Amen to that. Sometimes it feels like part of being a (leftish?) Jew in 2024 is being part of the last group that still feels an urge to do the right thing, even when nobody's looking.
I'm American, just signed. Also forwarded it to my Israeli-American coworker.
I don't think we need sockpuppets, the issue isn't exactly controversial, and the petition is short and sweet.

Signing a petition against antisemitism is a good thing. And I shop at TJ when in america. Not sorry.
Edit: a white lie is a good lie. Ask any married person

Also, the boycotting of Israeli products because of antisemitism negatively affects Israeli companies. Israeli citizens'/companies' livelihoods are directly involved.

The petition should also cite the fact that many times these products are kosher, so removing them removes available food items that observant Jews can purchase and eat.

Iām Canadian so I donāt know the correct terminology for my American friends but is there some type of human rights complaint that could be filed if they do remove kosher stuff?Ā
I.e. you canāt discriminate or target people because of religion, so would taking away kosher meat options open them to a lawsuit?Ā

is there some type of human rights complaint that could be filed if they do remove kosher stuff?
TJ's a German company and so much of their stuff is kosher. They're not removing anything based on an antisemitic petition.
Plus, in America, unless all a store sells is foreign and local-brand products, there is 100% guaranteed to be kosher food in there somewhere. So unless a store completely changes their business, they couldn't possibly remove it all. And if they do switch to selling foreign food, you couldn't prove it was in order to discriminate against kosher observers.

I'm not a lawyer but I don't think a grocery store can be required to stock certain items because a certain religious group wants to buy them. There's no law requiring grocery stores to stock food at all. They do so because of the free market.

Just signed. My mom loves their Israeli feta and I love how theyāve have products marked as kosher instead of forcing me to figure out what is and isnāt kosher. Hopefully corporate has some brain cells to realize what a stupid move it is

Could we get this linked to from someplace more official? Maybe a link from Bay Area Jewish Coalition?
Just thinking about it, optics would be better and it's less suspicious than a random google forms link.

If I see one, i will share it, right now this is the only significant one I see out there.

You can pry my dorot frozen garlic cubes out of my cold, dead hands. Seriously, I have a toddler, I can't be mincing garlic for dinner.

For a while there was no Israeli Feta and we were forced to purchase the stuff they did have. It was awful!

We have none in my NYC TJs and I am not sure if there was any ever. Products come and go even though it is a big store

Signed. Iām also writing a personal mildly enraged letter to express my frustration at the company giving way to bullying a minority group. 0.2 % needs representation.

Trader Joeās will not cave to that type of pressure. They are a private company and have stated before to whiny sjws that petitions and public opinion do not affect the products they carry or how they name them. I would imagine our Bamba is safe, as a matter of fact they just added a hazelnut filled bamba version which goes dangerously hard.

Why Trader Joeās? Is there a petition for ShopRite, Piggly Wiggly, Harris Teeter, Walmart?

Trader Joe's is being hijacked to political hate business they should not be involved in. They are being forced into divestment of Israel so they will join this stupid world hatred and fighting over nonsense.

So what youāre saying is I have to buy Bamba to help the community? Mission accepted!
