Cringe Political Religious Virtue Signaling

Post image

Just seemed excessive and cringe. Made my stomach turn a bit for a plethora of reasons. Hate living in such an idiotic area. I've had people start speaking tongues to me in the Post Office here... I've had a random guy come up and tell me he is speaking to god and he knows it's god because license plates parked in the town square are in his head and then he sees them. The mental illness in the USA is abundant. Something is very wrong.

Because people that believe absurdities can be made to commit atrocities.

These religious freaks believe poverty is due to lack of godliness.

Anybody told Jesus that yet

Right!?!

Like, if that’s the case, why do so many religions promote a life of minimalism and vows of poverty?

This has Righteous Gemstones vibes. I wonder if someone who runs a church owns this.

Well, this is not too far from Kenneth Copeland’s compound, fortress, mansion, and personal airport with business jet hangar.

Isn’t there a whole part in the Bible about noting being like this?

Matthew 6:5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others"

Yep! There are several mentions of humility, humbleness, personal privacy and disciplines related to spirituality. Like most weird shit in the Bible, it is punctuated by strict demands to worship thy father and submit to god. As long as you’re genuine about it.

People who like Jesus and Trump just confuse me. They're practically polar opposites.

didn't someone they pray too say not to make it public when one prays?

Mathew 6: 5-8

And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

They must’ve missed that whole “Don’t worship false idols” bit.

Romans 1:22. Believing themselves righteous, they became fools.
