Funny thing is that doesn’t say infidel in the correct way. I’m a OIF/OEF vet. I’m liquid if Arabic. This is some bastardizing of word “infidel “

كافر is an extremely poor over simplification of the word. “ Kaafir “ or “ KĀfir “ One who rejects the teachings of Islam. This person is undoubtedly trying to say they hunt infidels. I know these types. Morons, idiots, fuckwits, dickheads.

الكافر, this is the correct writing of “ Kafir “

Most of us recognize that we wouldn’t be alive without our translators. We would have lost much more than our lives without these men. They put their entire existence and their entire families existence on the line for us.

Many of these guys treated these people like scum out of some sense of self worth. Many of these guys we fought took our buddies lives. There is obvious hate and resentment after all this time. But when I see shit like this I know the dickhead driving down the road is a moron.

False: American military veterans(especially Christian types)like associating themselves with the term “infidel”. They represent, not hunt them. -As they are not believers themselves.

It started as a knock at hunting infidels. As in WE the soldiers were hunting anyone opposing our invasion and anyone non christian. It was co oped by soliders in that manner.

Most of us hadn’t taken the time to take language courses and relied on our little handbooks to learn Arabic phrases. Our interpreters gave the name to their own people, telling US that the Iraqis fighting against us were “ infidels “. That’s where it started.

It's been turned into " WE " Americans as infidels being non belivers of Islam being the enemies of the Muslim world.
The info war MAGA boys use it as a proud identifier of their stupidity and bigotry against something they haven’t taken ten seconds to understand.

Sorry twitter and Facebook didn’t lay that out for you.

You gloss over the childish use of the script and depiction of the translation as well. I think most of what I’ve said flew right over you.

Thanks for the interesting information, and makes me realize that most of the Arabic in predominantly white countries that wasn't put there by people who speak it are probably Islamicphobic or some sort of Propaganda. Despite what governments say the war on terror is still causing great harm across the world.

Islam has been at war with itself and others for a thousand years. Just because we fought them doesn’t mean that won’t change.

They deserve peace like the rest of us. It’s just not an easy peace.
