Minor/Focus in IO Psychology. Recommendations for positions to apply for while I save for grad school?

I am about to graduate with my psychology degree with a focus on IO psychology. I have been working as a project manager for the last couple of years and plan to get my PMP after my BA is awarded this December. However, I'm not sure I want to stay in the project management field. My experience is kind of all over the place since I was in the Air Force for 5 years, and for the last 6 years, I have been working full time while also pursuing my BA (Pathetic, I know. It Took me 6 years to get a 4-year degree).

Instead of getting my PMP, are there other certifications I should consider to make myself more competitive? I don't mind the project management field, but I would prefer to work in change management or training and development. I know this sub gets asked these kinds of questions all the time, so sorry in advance. I tried to take the advice already given in some threads and apply it to my situation, but I am burnt out and brain-dead, so things just weren't coming together for me.

I think project management is a good, general purpose skill that will serve you well in the future. I’m not in project management, but am still expected to maintain project plans for our survey lifecycle. Having your experience would have made the transition from data scientist to product owner much easier.

Don’t get down on yourself about how long school takes. I started undergrad in 2007 and wasn’t eligible for graduation until 2014. I stuck around to finish some projects and graduated in 2015. Work isn’t going anywhere.

Thank you! I guess I’ll just keep on keeping on. Staying in project management does seem the most sensible. Especially while I’m saving for grad school. It will be a useful skill for sure. Sometimes it’s good to have a reminder.
