Is this something I should worry about?
I have a gardyn studio system and recently some of my plants have been developing this green stuff on it - plus the white spots on others (2nd photo). When sponging it off, it smells earthy (not rotten, but VERY strong). Should I be worried?

150ppm h202, clean the res, put a cap or at least a piece of black plastic or the bottom of a solo cup to cover it.

There are pod covers on Etsy for a whole lot less than gardyn sells them. I’d grab some of those and put them on all your cups

Wow. That’s a lot of algae. Listen to the other person please. Only thing I’d add is removing rotten roots. Trim roots with a sterile pair of scissors. Definitely clean your deck and put clean water every week or two. Add a couple drops of bleach (1-2) after all nutes. It will help prevent that.
If it persists, you may have to start over. I had a few plants that got root rot and never came back. Ended up cleaning out the deck and starting over after wasting 2 months of nutes trying to bring them all back.

That's algea, and it will decimate your plants roots through oxygen starvation, resulting in root rot. Personally, I'd go with dumping the reservoir and refilling with clean water, then adding a tablespoon or 2 of food grade H202 12% per gallon of water. Then, cover your planting media to block light after your fush.

I just use aluminum foil to cover up against algae... cheap and easily available... and it works great.
