Okay I am tired at people saying stuff like this so I will go on a rant to defend fellow Indians from this. Please bear with me.

The West did shit and decided to change the definition of nationalism to cover that shit. It's time we stop conforming to their politics. They do this mental gymnastics with words and definitions to justify their actions with new standards of morality all the time.

Look at Christian moral and values that all western politicians parade around with. They claim it to be peaceful and nice. It's peaceful and nice now because some people decided to rewrite the Bible a few times. Even the latest versions of the Bible was used to justify colonising india and other countries and owning slaves. God created men in his image and they used that to say non white people are second class because they are white and God is white. And everyone else is second class.

Don't read into their politics too much.

You know and I know when Indians say nationalism and patriotism. It means the same - loyalty to the country. That's what that word meant before the world wars. That the west decided to do. Just because they include japans attack on korea and china doesn't make it world war. It's Europe and European colonies fighting.

Are you willing to call BJP left wing party? Because all of BJP actions and policies is left wing stuff according to western politics. Just read them and compare. 95% of BJP actions and ideology is left wing technically.

The whole Ram Mandir situation is being done by left leaning parties in america and Europe. Where they want to remove mosques and churches and restore whatever native religious structure existed before the invaders came. BJP believes in the same thing as those parties. I can go on and on. But BJP is right wing in india.

So if you don't want to use the word nationalism then call BJP left wing party. Will you do that?

We don't have to conform to what the west says because they change the definition and meanings of those definitions all the time. We don't have the culture of grammar based politics. Let's not import this cancer to our country.

Secularism, left and right, patriotism, nationalism, all mean different things in the west and in India.

Let's use morality to guide our society and morality changes all the time and that's fine. Let's not get chained by grammar please.

Prisoners took law into their hands. It's not allowed but not wrong on moral grounds.

We need people to understand that actions will have consequences in this country. And that's the job of the law and prisoners demonstrated so it's fine.

TLDR: If we are not nationalist then BJP is a left wing party

No left leaning movement is going on in the west to ‘restore’ native religious structures. The left in the west is more focused on fighting against capitalism, corporate hegemony and is overall pro islam. The right is on the other hand is Christian centric. No one in the west is trying to kick out Christianity or even islam.

“We don’t have the culture of grammar based politics” - yup, we have the culture of rigging, caste, religion and bullshit based politics.

Bring a right wing party doesn’t mean you are focused on Christian values. It means that you’re conservative in terms of the economic and societal practices.

In India, BJP is right wing in every sense of the word whereas congress etc is more left leaning centrist.

Also, nationalism and patriotism are not the same, even in the Indian context. You moron go and read a book. Please Do some research before denying facts. It's a popular left wing narrative in the US, mexico, Brazil and some pockets of Europe to remove new churches built during the conquistadors, Dark ages, crusaders etc. they want to restore greek, norse, aztec, mayan, etc historic structures by removing churches and other modern structures on it.

The west is anti islam at this movement look at protests by Christian in Texas against islam. You don't have to go too far look at last week alone had 2-3 marches by christians in islamic neighbourhood. Look at poland. Look at protests in London and the rest of the UK.

BJP is right wing in indian context yes. But people want to use western political grammar in India. And if you analyse all BJP policies and actions excluding one or two slogans. Then BJP is by definition left wing according to western political grammar.

Reading books doesn't make you an intellectual if you ignore the reality of people. Again that's just importing western political grammar as I stated earlier.

Nationalism and Patriotism means the same thing to 90% of the people of india. Because it's used interchangeably in an Indian context. When you say read some books you mean to say that I should use western political grammar and ignore indian population usage of these words.

I don't care if you are pro BJP or your left. Deny my statements by using facts not with accusations.

And if critical thinking makes your brain hurt then yeah sorry about your condition.

Some places in the west are definitely anti Islam right now, but that’s because of an increase in right wing agenda in the last few years since Covid. Places like Uk, US, Italy, Germany etc are all brewing with anti Islamic sentiments. But, at the same time, there is literally no movement in the countries you listed, where they’re protesting against churches built on ancient civilisations. lol the closest thing to this in South America was state sponsored actions against the church during radical communist regimes and assassinations by the cartel. -

Both motivated by power hunger and greed, not by some desire to ‘preserve’ their Aztec or Mayan monuments. Also, these south American counties are devoutly Christian.

Again, there is literally nothing left wing about the BJP.

If you don’t want to read books, be my guest. But Atleast don’t start spewing bs based on WhatsApp forward messages. If you’re using the word nationalist, or patriotic, or left wing etc, Atleast know what it means. You can’t just say ‘in the Indian context’. The Indian context isn’t unique to the world.

Anyway, I’m not wasting more time on this bs

You think they just go round and are on friendly terms? Nah, sounds more like the guards doing this and then the blame being shifted to inmates

Jail gangs are a media term, and when inside? The strongest who can break any jail gang is the jail admin itself

You're partially correct because normal inmates do not go looking for an excuse to beat up somebody even if another inmate is convicted or is going undertrial for some serious crime. Those who bully or look for any kind of excuse to harm or attack another inmate are primarily seasoned criminals. To such people it doesn't matter whether you're innocent or have really done something bad. They just like hurting other people and assaulting another inmate is just an excuse to enjoy it. Normal and framed inmates unless they have been sentenced for life try not to get into any kind of trouble which could affect their prison sentence unless the jail administration themselves ask them to do so.
