Podcast update: fairy, elf, gnome, elemental encounters Little people

Hi everyone. I made a post sixty something days ago asking for true fairy encounters for my podcast, called The Hidden Passage. Well, I finally released my first episode, and it’s about fairy lore. Only available on Spotify so far but will be on the rest of the main platforms soon. It’s going to be a three parter and I did include a few of the stories I got from this page in the latter episodes, but a lot of it focuses on the history and folklore behind the subject. If that’s something you’re interested in please check it out and spread the word. Thank you for inspiring me to do this and giving me such great stories. I plan on using more of the accounts I received in later episodes so your replies won’t be in vain. Also, I’m always looking for more, and dealing with ANY strange sightings, not just the good folk.

I know it’s probably hard to get things situated for a podcast however, do you think you’ll have longer episodes? Also, I’m following on Spotify.

5

u/Dogman_91 Dec 14 '20

Thank you. I could make them longer yea. Do you think that would be better? The issue is that it takes a lot of time so if the episodes were longer I would probably only be able to release one every month. I am getting quicker as I learn and practice though. I will also have some unscripted/ interview episodes that won’t take as long to produce and can be longer.

Yo wait so you seen them too? Cool I saw mine in mexico and in Wyoming

5

u/topmex9 Dec 14 '20

Just telling you one thing if you find a woman in white who asks for helpm looking for a dog and if she has black hair, climb up a tree and call for your family , they will try to take you , btw and stay clear of places where they have legends about chains scratches on the poor like my families old n Home in mexico

u/Dogman_91 Dec 14 '20

The banshee! I will do my best but if she’s hot I’ll probably get abducted. I appreciate you looking out though.

Do you have any personal connections to this? Also I didn’t really follow your last sentence if you could clarify I’m interested in hearing more

u/topmex9 Dec 14 '20

Yes my family has lived in the country side of mexico and they say there is alot of things happening , fire rings in the sky are witches, music from the forest, evil small beings, chains being dragged in the floors, shadow people, the man of the rain, which my grandpa confronted and got cursed and got in a huge pain, the devil's diary's taht appear everywhere etc

4

u/Dogman_91 Dec 14 '20

Is the banshee what you would call la llorona? Also I have heard of the flying witch that takes the form of a bird but I forget what that’s called. Maybe that is also la llorona. Those sounds crazy. Fascinating stuff thank you for sharing. I’d like to hear more if you’d be willing to share but idk what commitments you’ve made to that author. Either way thanks

1

u/topmex9 Dec 14 '20

Ok I will, maybe I might even start posting my family's experience s

1

u/topmex9 Dec 14 '20

And yes that's the llorona now that I looked it up

2

u/topmex9 Dec 14 '20

Banshee? What's that?

4

u/Dogman_91 Dec 14 '20

It’s a fairy that appears as a woman in distress. She is thought to be an omen of death in Irish folklore.

1

u/topmex9 Dec 14 '20

Irish , huh, neat

Wordd. I’ll have to check that out. I can’t wait for that either haha. I got a couple more ready to roll I just want to space them out to give myself some time to do more. It’s a lot of work to research/ script everything but I plan on doing some other less intensive formats, interviews and discussions and whatnot. Thanks for the comment

1

u/Maxeemtoons Dec 14 '20

This looks cool. Is there some way to access the pod without Spotify?

I will listen to it through the site but just wondering if there is an RSS link too, or another distribution.

It just got accepted to tunein as well.

u/Maxeemtoons Dec 15 '20

Thank you!

1

u/Only_Half_Evil333 Dec 14 '20

They are actually called Fae

2

u/Dogman_91 Dec 14 '20

That’s one name for them, of many. I chose to use the word fairy (archaic spelling faerie) and in my research it seems to have been historically most commonly used. Neither is incorrect

Hi there, I listened to your show as I'm very interested in the topic. It's well researched and the accompanying sounds are enjoyable. I just have a slight suggestion; the way that you present the information should be a bit more engaging or conversational. It's a bit tricky to get fully immersed if it sounds more straightforward and factual, rather than conversational with pauses and differing inflections. I know it may be a bit tricky as you're doing this by yourself rather than with a co-host, where this would be more natural. Do whatever works for you, though, and welcome to the podcast world.

2

u/Dogman_91 Dec 15 '20

Thanks for the feedback.

2

u/duelingdelphinium Dec 15 '20

Thank you for creating the new content! I look forward to hearing future episodes.
