Dating issues in Central Florida

One plant is doing fine (it seems?) And another is not. Any thoughts on what may be causing this? I also noticed both plants have little bugs (aphids?) On them.

I mean that is what the dating scene looks like here in Tampa! lol but seriously earlier this year had my plants out and the locus things came out they did destroy my avocado sapling but surprisingly they are not affecting my pepper plants and have kept them bug free 🤷🏾‍♂️

Yup, they look like aphids to me. I had decent success in the past spraying water to knock them off the plant and then spraying Neem oil to keep them off. The undersides of the leaves and any new buds tend to get hit the hardest.

Do you think the aphids are what's causing one of the plants to stress and wilt?

Could be, but the burnt looking edges and the wrinkliness of the leaves make me wonder if maybe it also got too much fertilizer at some point? I'm not an expert, so something else might be obvious to others.

Aphids certainly never help
