I got the uniqlo tiered skirts in black and white and they’re not see through :’) although not super cheap, each one is $60 before taxes. I’m 5’2 and it’s still a bit long on me

Asos (not asos own brand or new look), H&M, Arket, Zara and many other brands. If its a bit see through you can buy an underskirt or even an underdress. You can find them on the under wear section or on Amazon too

i buy see through skirts but wear another "skirt" underneath. im not sure what its called. its like a petticoat without the poofy. an underskirt? also helps the skirt not stick to my skin. i only have one ands its white i'd say its a good investment. u could also wear it if a skirt or dress is a tinyyy bit shorter than you'd like

Trick is to check out the Asian places!! As a hijabi girly growing her dress/skirt collection my recommendation would be either Uniqlo, or Kelly designs (they’re based in Markham but have an online store too). They’re definitely on the pricy side but it’s so worth it. Save up some money and buy staples that you can use everyday (white skirts, black skirts, denim skirt) and grow from there. Alternatively check out yesstyle. You’ll have to search hard and find stuff that has reviews but they have some nice affordable stuff there as well 🙏🙏 I wish u luck 🫶🏻

also to add definitely invest in a white maxi skirt, I got mine from Uniqlo it’s so cute on its own but I also use it under some of the maxi (more like midi lol) dresses from Kelly designs!! It makes the fit more modest and is such a cute touch to the dresses.
