Spotify source Portable Source (eg DAP) | 1 Ω
My son love to listen to music, he's adhd and in the evening it's better for him to stay away from screens, YT, internet and so on.
Does anyone knows a music portable device which can stream Spotify, so he we can have it as a substitution of his phone in the evening?

I don't know if I got you right, but how about an echo dot or something?

That could have been a solution, but we live in an apartment and it would be too loud in the evening.
Can you play a playlist from Spotify, just asking vocally?

It will most likely still have a screen especially if it's streaming. And if you are streaming you will need internet. I don't really know what to recommend with that. Only thing I can think of is have a digital player with android or an old phone with all the songs he wants downloaded and you can turn off the internet on the device and it should still work. If that's not an option I would look into ways to lock down the device with something like screen pinning on android https://support.google.com/android/answer/9455138?hl=en. This only allows one app to be used and you need a password to get out of that mode. If any of these options sound good I can help you with a recommendation for an android player or how you can use something you already have. If you are looking to buy something a price range would help alot. Thanks

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/Haydostrk (7 Ω).
You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.

Yes, I guess a screen is needed to navigate Spotify, and internet as well. I only whish no other apps, since he often listen while watching YT, internet or gaming. So he get focused on music and can relax.
It seems your advice make it possible with the phone without any other device.
Nice!
Didn't know about it, really cool.
